Another strong point is the inclusion of most of the market, along with an excellent graphing tool that makes it easy to compare assets clearly and effectively. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** I had a very good experience with all the features. However, it would be better if the beta range were more flexible. For example, if someone wants a 3-year beta on a monthly basis, that could be a problem for them. Also, I’m not sure whether it is levered or unlevered that is not defined, could be case improvement. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** The beta ranges, and whether they are levered or unlevered, aren’t clearly defined, and the available ranges don’t offer much flexibility. It would be helpful if you could improve customization by letting users set parameters that drive the auto-calculated beta. For me, this would be a big improvement because, just to get beta, I currently have to pull returns from Yahoo Finance and calculate it myself, even though beta is available on Koyfin. Adding better beta settings could also improve user engagement. ### 2. I really like the dashboard configuration and financial analysis layout. The financial analysis lets me see historical financials by company and, with a paid subscription, access detailed projections and consensus estimates. The dashboard builder is terrific; it allows me to build macro, micro, or industry-specific monitors for any data attribute I want. Also, the initial setup was very easy, taking 5 minutes or less, which was a pleasant surprise. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** The graphing capabilities are a bit more basic than Bloomberg and sometimes slower than Yahoo/Google. The news is also weak, even compared to other free / low-cost platforms. They need to build a better news aggregator or something that lets you plug into other news platforms you have access to. Koyfin does a great job of comparing a company's strategies or models with a client's current portfolio by allowing you to take client statements in Excel or PDF format and compare them side by side. It's pretty easy to understand and it flows nicely for prospect meetings. I appreciate the better proposal output for prospects or clients and the improved user analysis, which allows for tracking performance over time and adding previous changes to certain strategies. I thought the setup was pretty easy and intuitive, and I was able to use it even before the introductory call. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** I think the integration to Orion and maybe their other integrations as well could be slightly better. It'd be nice if I could integrate my entire book through Orion with Koyfin. It is easy and quick to enter client holdings and generate a proposal against a selected model or asset allocation. I will be using this with every financial plan that I create! So far, the process has been very intuitive to use and set up. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** It would be better with a Household function, where you can select multiple accounts to be consolidated into one report summary, showing the entire relationship's current performance. Currently, you have to reenter all the data into a new portfolio, including each subaccount. I have just started using it and am very impressed with its range of data and function. I especially like the charting function and layouts. I can keep track of a full range of credit spreads, stocks, bond yields, FX and market indices. Koyfin has spent a lot of time on design and functionality. Set up was quick and intuitive navigation. Charting is easy, screening is probably the most intuitive of any solution I've used, and it's a flexible way to view financials. The watchlist customization is also great. The customization offered in the paid tiers is both meaningful and useful. I also appreciate the keyboard shortcuts. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** Not being able to download financials to Excel is a real drawback. Downloading financials and filings from the same platform I screen, look at charts and financials, and keep up to date would be ideal. The iPhone app does not have enough functionality for me at the moment, but it is at least responsive, visually appealing, and uncluttered. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Koyfin for analyzing and monitoring personal investments. It has more functionality than an online broker offers across charts + financials + many additional metrics and portfolio management features if you want them. I used the free version for several years and was incredibly impressed with the amount of information Koyfin provided to free users. I finally upgraded to the Pro subscription, and it just got better from there. If you're a deep equity researcher that doesn't want to break the bank, this tool is perfect. In addition, the folks at Koyfin are constantly improving on the software. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** Koyfin is starting to get deeper into the advisor market, but they are a little behind. I have used almost every platform out there and find this one to have the most features and data for the money. I subscribe to the Pro package. For portfolio management and analysis, I love that I can chart up to 30 years of key financial ratios and indicators on a chart to see thinks like how current PE compares to the past for a given stock. It really allows technical to blend with fundamental analysis in a way that I did not think was possible. With other platforms you are lucky to get 5 or 10 years of history - which is irrelevant if you are a long term investor and they often come at many times the cost. Customizable watchlists and model portfolios allow for back testing performance and risk and easily get dat like average dividend yield, 20 year CAGR and so on. Another plus is that humans and often Rob Koyfman actually respond to customer support unlike other platforms at a similar price like Tradingview where - good luck if you need help. As a result of customer response, new features according to demand are added regularly. In short, I love the product. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** There is less technical indicator charting ability than on a platform like Tradingview. However, the more I experiment and learn the system, the more useful features I find. There is not much to dislike. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Koyfin tools are particularly helpful to identify trends in financial data - whether it is in relation to a company's own history or relative to the market or an industry. Custom screens allow for easy dumping to spreadhseets and analysis. Building portfolios from the bottom up and helping with balancing risk and growth is easier. ### 49.
