Kion lets you control user access to any number of AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud accounts. The financial portion let's people see accurate cloud spend with the ability to take action when spend reaches budgetary limits. The compliance portion lets you manage cloud security according to multiple industry baselines. With Cloud Rules and Cloud Roles, user accounts and CSP accounts can have tailor-made configurations. Updates to those rules and roles will be propogated to every applicable user and CSP account automatically.

In addition, the Kion documentation and customer service is excellent. The documentation can intuitively walk you through every function of Kion complete with pictures. Every question or trouble ticket has been answered promptly and they stick with you until things are working again.

Finally, Kion is deployed entirely through Infrastructure as Code, so changes to things are as simple as updating a Cloudformation and the code will make changes and redeploy assets as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kion provides excellent auto-detection of usage on a real-time basis & helps us reduce our monthly expenditures from on-demand instances.

Unlike other cloud management platforms, it doesn't include lock-in or upfront payments, which is quite convenient for us.

It offers extensive support to all three cloud service providers (AWS, Azure & GCP) for reducing cloud expenditures & reserved instance management.

Going on with the Kion platform is almost free of risk & we can opt out of their services if we are unsatisfied.

We don't have to do anything much to get it running as Kion takes care of the underlying infrastructure & its renewals.

It's a great solution that I like to be able to use for compliance reporting and to integrate my AWS accounts for different roles. Today, there are more than 50 employees in the Encamp organization and over 200 customers who rely on their premier technology and expert compliance services to automate and streamline environmental compliance. Encamp is the largest third-party filer of EPCRA Tier II reports. These reports, mandated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), legally require companies that store hazardous materials to submit an annual Tier II report. For each of those reports filed through Encamp, the company donates a tree to nonprofit organizations such as One Tree Planted, helping sequester carbon from the atmosphere and promote human and environmental health. I use Kion on a daily basis and love the ease that it allows me to manage multiple accounts. The controls that we can use via CloudRules and RBAC Roles help us limit access when needed, and also add important CloudFormation templates to our AWS environments. I also love the ease of integration between our Active Directory and how we can use security groups in AD to control access in Kion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have found that navigating through the 'Organization' tab can be sometimes cumbersome and it is not always easy to find an account or OU that you are searching for. Even with the search bar on the left, clicking on a Parent OU won't reveal all of the accounts as there may be another OU layer between Parent OU and accounts. The ability for Kion to have inherited rules similar to AWS SCPs from one place, regardless of the cloud can not be spoken about enough. Having one "single pane of glass" for GCP, AWS and Azure is incredible and Kion does it the right way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kion has a steep learning curve, and while it takes some time to get to understand the nuances of the product, once you think you get through the curve, they release new features that you have to learn (not that new features is a bad thing). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
