I like that it is simple to understand and to set up a giveaway. You add a description, an image, and then connect the actions you'd like people to do to gain entries. What I like most about it is that it requires people to do the steps and it confirms that they did it. For example, to follow you on Twitter. Other giveaway software will ask a person to click in order to follow, but all it does is load your Twitter page; it doesn't confirm that they followed you. So they close the tab, go back to the giveaway, and earn the entry. KingSumo confirms they followed, so you know you're getting your money's worth with the giveaway. **What do you dislike about KingSumo?** I dislike that there are so few social media connections. I'd like them to add more functionality to different platforms. And I want them to add in more advanced types of giveaways and contests beyond a random draw. Make it more like Gleam or Perkzilla, yet keep it easy to use. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** KingSumo offers an affordable alternative to Gleam and allows you to gain more newsletter subscribers and social media followers on a budget. I gain about 50 new subscribers each time I do a giveaway. ### 3. Easily automated recurring email system that can be configured nicely. **What do you dislike about KingSumo?** Lots of KingSumo branding on giveaway pages, widgets, and emails. The giveaway is even on their own domain! No custom domain support. And limited features based on a tiered system. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are a ton of products out there that you can use to set up a sweepstake giveaway. The platform can be challenging for newbies. But KS actually makes it easy to start one. ### 4. They have an excellent choice of possibilities like Facebook, Instagram, and others, which I was looking for **What do you dislike about KingSumo?** When I tried to make my campaign, I had some trouble with the forms, and there was some glitch with the picture when I was trying to delete them, they kept coming back, and I had to redo everything again and again and ended up with 10 x the same picture. I had to start from the beginning. I could not see from which country the person who signed up for the giveaway came from, which I wouldn't say I liked because my giveaway was for only Canada and the USA. I could see a lot of emails ending with (.ru) which is from Russia. When I tried to make some changes to the Giveaway to remove some items, it did remove the thing I deleted but replicated other things already there, which did not help. I finally canceled my giveaway and had to give free items to the people who had already entered the giveaway to make them happy. Waste of money and time on my side. **Recommendations to others considering KingSumo:** Maybe you should look at other platforms before considering KingSumo. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had no benefits from KingSumo, and I lost money and time because of it. Very hard to get answers or solutions to the problems I had using KingSumo. I did not see any changes in my business while using this platform besides issues. ### 6. I like how easy it is to set up and I especially like how people who enter can get more entries by sharing my contest, extending the reach and leading to more email addresses for me. I also like how selecting the winner is automated. **What do you dislike about KingSumo?** It's a simply tool and not very sophisticated. While it's more than enough for my needs, if you're the kind of person who likes to run elaborate contests, then this might not be the best choice for you. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was looking for a simple, inexpensive software that helps me run contests to grow my email list and KingSumo perfectly suits my needs. We used other web forms, SMS messaging and facebookmessaging to run contests in the past. This does not have all the flexiblity of creating your own contest from scratch but it is SOOOOOO fast and easy. After running dozens of lead gen contests I can say it was 90% as effective as what we were building on our own with 1/10th the work. I should also point out that support is awesome. I had a coupl quetions that were answered quickly and accurately, just like my other Sumo experiences. **What do you dislike about KingSumo?** its pretty limited in terms of appearance, layout, colour, image sizing and you can not use GIF or video in the landing page. it does not do everything. But... if it did then it would not be fast and cheap either. This is NOT a deluxe solution but it is a very effective simple solution. **Recommendations to others considering KingSumo:** This is a no-brainer. if you want to run web of social contestes buy a subscription. It is cheap and it works. If you need a more elegant solution you'll llikely still want KingSumo when you need fast ahead of beautiful. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I just want to create contests quick and easily and get them launched. I was using a combination of custom forms, social media tools and hand bombing in the past. It was more effective but way more time consuming. This is not a perfect solution but it is good at a very low price. Custom web designers or those with OCD, this is not for you. For web novices or those looking to save time, it's aweseome. It will pay for itself in the time it savs the fist time you use it. Even if you move on, with a lifetime subcrition it will still be there to use any time you're in a rush and just need to get the job done. ### 10. So, basically the user clicks on the giveaway from your website and is taken off your site to a completely different website they have never heard of. There is no option to customize or disable the emails they send to your subscribers. These emails have KingSumo branding all over them, and have a very distinct tone that is not a good fit for many brands, yet there is no way to edit them. Additionally, if you don't want to send reminder emails to people who've entered your contest, that's just too bad, you're still stuck with them. **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** This tool is worthless. ### 14. I would pay for this if it was part of a paid plan/upgrade. -VERY limited integration with third party email vendors. I understand the limit for the free version but if I'm going to pay anything, I want the option to integrate with my preferred vendor -KingSumo shows their own TOS and then I have to show mine. This leads to a poor experience for those entering the giveaways/contests **What problems is KingSumo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was looking for a way to run a contest with my baby company to collect email addresses for the purpose of marketing. I was able to collect around 3,500 email addresses, which has been amazing! I've been able to use those emails to grow my business and to generate revenue. ### 15.
