Journal Chantier Reviews & Product Details

Journal Chantier is a mobile web app built for building contractors in France, from the solo tradesman to companies with around 50 workers. It replaces paper timesheets, scattered WhatsApp photos and end-of-month phone calls with one simple daily routine. Planning: the manager (or a team leader) plans the crews day by day, with one list per worker and the previous week copied in one tap. Each job site has its pinned notes, its plans (readable even without network) and its tasks. Evening site report: every evening, each worker sends a report from their phone in about 30 seconds. The form is pre-filled; the worker adds photos and a short note, ticks the tasks done, and declares an absence if needed. It works on job sites without network: the report is queued on the phone and sent as soon as it reconnects. Workers log in with a QR code, with no password to remember. Daily summary: the manager receives a summary per job site with the photos, notes, absences, and who has not reported yet. Reports are validated in one tap. The full site journal (photos and reports) can be downloaded as a PDF. Payroll variables, not payroll: at the end of the month, Journal Chantier gives the accountant or payroll software what it needs: hours per worker and per job site, meal allowances, travel zones (the French construction industry's "petits deplacements" zones, computed from the company's address), transport, days with a company vehicle, and absences by reason. Everything exports to CSV. Amounts, overtime rates and tax rules stay with the payroll software. More: hours can be followed per job site and per trade; on-call technicians fill an intervention sheet per customer; site visits for quotes are done on the phone with annotated photos and measurements. Privacy and data: no continuous GPS tracking. Each company's data is strictly separated, hosted in France, encrypted and exportable at any time. Installable on Android (Google Play) and iPhone, usable from any browser. Pricing: free forever for up to 5 workers (the manager is not counted), with no credit card. Beyond that, EUR 15 excl. VAT per month for up to 20 workers, then EUR 1 per extra worker, with a two-month free trial.
