## About Job Cost Pro
I closed a $42,000 bathroom remodel in Fort Worth in 2024. I thought I made 30% margin. My accountant found 12%. The gap was $7,500 in receipts I never logged — gas station stops, lumber runs, the little stuff that eats a job alive. I built Job Cost Pro so that never happens again. Here's what it does: - AI receipt scanning. Snap a photo. It reads the vendor, amount, and category, and puts it on the right job. - Voice expense capture. Say it while you drive. It's logged. - Real-time job margins. Know where every job stands today, not at tax time. - GPS crew time tracking. Clock-ins tied to the job site. - Invoicing. - Tax export. One ZIP: P&L, 1099 summary, categorized receipts. Hand it to your accountant and get back to work. - Basic reports, plus an in-app AI chat for quick questions about your numbers. What it doesn't do yet: estimating, bids, or proposals. I'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out after you download it. The free tier is real: 3 projects, 50 receipts a month, full AI receipt scanning, voice capture, 1 tax export a year, basic reports, and 10 AI chat messages a month. Paid plans — Pro $29.99/mo, Contractor $49.99/mo, Business $149.99/mo — are billed through Apple inside the app. iOS on the App Store, plus a web app at jobcostpro.online. I'm a contractor, not a software company. I built this because I needed it. If it catches one forgotten receipt on one job, it already paid for itself.
