As a tutor I love that in Italki I can set my own prices in my profile, the flexibility it gives teachers and tutors to feel completely autonomous of their work is amazing. It is really easy to use the application, it is not complex to create your own profile, it only takes a matter of minutes and then set the time you want to spend on it. The communication that allows you to communicate with users is of high quality in both video calls and chats, one of the best apps for those interested in learning languages. Something that I do not find pleasant about Italki is that to control the supply and demand within the application allows a limited number of teachers per student, which every year makes it more difficult to belong to the application and those who are already inside, generate income.

The application has gift cards redeemable within the same for a certain number of lessons, but do not specify that these have an expiration date for less than a month, they should add that information to the card in addition to making it more its expiration date. One of the things that caught my attention in italki were the teachers, most of them are kind and intelligent people who do their job, they have everything previously well planned and offer a good teaching plan which if you follow it to the letter you will certainly learn what they are teaching you. What I like most about italki is the ease and convenience of being able to choose your own teacher depending on your taste, plus each teacher has published their price which makes it even more accessible, another thing I like is that you can schedule classes on the days and times that you want or that makes you more comfortable since the classes are live. I've been on Italki since April 2016, trying to find help learning Punjabi (Gurmukhi). I haven't had much luck: A few teachers have contacted me over the years but I didn't feel that they were qualified to teach (I used to teach French myself, years ago).
