We also have SQL Views created for custom reporting in-house. The UI is nice and polished and the app integrated with our other apps for planning and accounting seamlessly. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** Due to us having a large DB the load times on certain operations are extensive. Dev requests (Due to how the requests are handled) take extensive periods of time before implementation. Call screening can be a bit of a nag when calling to report an urgent issue. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are adding AI integration into the app and are constantly improving on our resource planning and management. They have terrific customer support and on-site visits are really productive. ### 2. I’m able to handle everything myself—from style setup to POs, sales orders, invoicing, and more—which is really helpful for a small team like ours. The price also feels fair for the level of service. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** I have to use a PC for it to work quickly, which means I basically need two computers. The Windows app on my Mac is only okay and has a noticeable lag, so I mainly use it for quick tasks when I’m away from my PC. Looking forward to the web version! **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** SYNC has allowed us to set up our brand efficiently and with low cost/overhead, while also positioning us for future growth with the level of sophistication needed to support our customers. ### 3. The ability of Sync to be flexible and meet our unique requirements, as well as assist in guiding us to achieve what we wanted from the system was commendable. Continual developments and updates ensured Sync always provided us with an up to date solution. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** We did not use the more advanced inventory module which has a comprehensive stock take module - we used the basic stock take option which while it was user friendly and provided a secure stock take process it could be enhanced. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** We store a great deal of product, both completed garments as well as raw materials to manufacture garments, offsite at various service providers and Sync provided us with great insights and features to deal with and manage these stock movements by means of In Transit warehouses. Accurate margin calculations were initially a challenge in our business units, however Sync consultants guided us procedurally as well as systems wise to be able to manage our margin integrity which impacts directly on our ability to actually achieve budgeted margins. ### 5. This allows us to make use of our production capacity optimally and only take on work that we can deliver on-time. The system is flexible so changes are easy to make and transparent to everyone when there are issues. Detailed inventory management is also a big help considering our fabric delivery lead times. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** We have had some issues accounting for our GP accurately in our financial system due to timing issues but it sounds like a fix for that has been developed and is in the process of being rolled out. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping us with our critical path and ensuring we deliver on-time and in full. We order fabric and trims only when it's needed in the production process. We have full transparency with the process, accountability from users together with exception reporting. We often require system or report customisation to enable us to track and report on new metrics. We're also able to reconcile what we planned to use for each job and how much fabric and trims were actually used ie. planned GP vs actual GP. ### 6. Calls logged are understood and more so improved on my initial thoughts. Most of all it does everything I need it to do. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** Not sure if this is a synx flaw but the problem I think with most of these is if you put bad data in you can get some bad data out. But with some exception reporting and checks and balances we have plugged most of the human error elements. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** Order tracking, raw material management, financial reporting and integration into finances. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Sync.?** The latest Technology & support that is available to us. I have been employed at various high end name brands in apparel during my career and Sync has certainly exceeded my expectations in terms of the latest technology available and implementation thereof in keeping our business up to date. The Sync support team are super efficient and the response time is right up there. Their knowledge of the system is vast and we are satisfied knowing this is available to us at all times. When there is an upgrade it is done very professionally and as seamless as possible, human nature does not easily like change and whilst it could be difficult to keep up with the change, the support team take your expectations and work closely with you to ensure effortless improvement of the latest integration of technology. We have just gone through a huge upgrade and 5 stars to the support team, thank you to them who have proven to practically be an extension of our business. I highly commend them their skill and professionalism and they are huge asset to Sync. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** Nothing negative to say, as usual when there are changes people are very quick to blame the system but with the support they receive they get used to it fairly rapidly. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have chosen B2B for our wholesale customer platform and I can confirm that this integration was well supported. Our Customers that had joined this system have found this site user friendly, the development team jumped in to ensure that any shortfall in the system was delved into and was rectified immediately. Our Company has the benefit of the vast knowledge and development skills as Sync evolves our processes are improved continuously. ### 8. We loved how the software was apparel-focused, but the integration team also expanded their expertise to our growing product line assortment. We also loved that they had a global team of software engineers and had a strong presence in South African since we also work in Africa and look forward to expanding this software to that team! Implementing this software was one of the smoothest and most supportive processes I have been through with software onboarding! As hiccups arose in the first weeks, the Sync team handled each edge case with care, attention, and speed. The team at Sync focuses on creating the best solution for your company and not applying a blanket solution that is easiest for them! **What do you dislike about Sync.?** As with any software training, the tutorial video was pretty painful to work through. The training videos were out of date for the software, and many of the lessons required to cover did not apply to the way we use the software. **What problems is Sync. solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are creating better fulfillment experiences and stock controls for our customers. Since we use a 3PL, Sync has allowed total transparency into the operational functions of that partnership. Before implementing Sync, we relied on our 3PL to create business and fulfillment logic since our shopping cart did not have that capability. Now, our 3PL can focus on picking and shipping, and we have more control over our business decisions that directly affect our customer's experience. ### 11. Sync is very user-friendly & it has excellent reporting. We have a clear view of precisely what's going on in the company. The system has increased productivity & efficiency - which has translated into significant savings for the company. The support is excellent & we get our questions answered immediately. It's really more like a partnership because the Sync team has been very invested in working with us to navigate challenges & build solutions. **What do you dislike about Sync.?** I can't think of anything that stands out as being a problem. It's was important that the users complete the online video tutorials/training because then they know the ins & outs of how the system works. Obviously, the follow-up coaching is excellent but having the base level of understanding of Sync makes a difference. **Recommendations to others considering Sync.:** We really enjoyed the fact that the implementation is a fixed cost.
