I've used PTO daily for 5 years and counting. I've been really happy with my decision. As a long-time Lacerte user, transitioning to PTO was easy. The software is naturally familiar and intuitive. It's web based, which allows for seamless multi-user access and means there is no need for legacy network hardware or staff to be in one place. It offers a lot of additional features at no additional cost, like Intuit Link as a client portal, document import of basic tax documents like a W-2, and Intuit Tax Advisor for tax planning. PTO is tightly integrated with QuickBooks Online. They share the same client list and sign-in. It's easy to switch between one and the other. There is an import feature called Prep for Taxes to import data from QuickBooks to PTO for tax preparation, however, I've found that I want full control over what is reported on the tax returns and have opted not to use that feature for my own processes.
