InterBase is characterized by its small footprint, minimal administration and built-in data security control. ## Interbase Reviews ### 1. As no direct button is there for db maintenance operation, by using query or syntax, we have remembered al. **What do you dislike about Interbase?** Most mathematical operations don't support. Rebuilding of index takes a lot of time. Big size. When records get deleted, size doesn't reduce, we have to extra operation like back and restore to resize the db. **Recommendations to others considering Interbase:** No i won't recommend as we are having oracle db, sql db and we are having storage in cloud. I don't recommend **What problems is Interbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its a very old db. Compares to modern structure i don't see any benifits ### 2. It is not supporting XML Data support. **Recommendations to others considering Interbase:** It is really lightweight you can integrate Interbase independently. **What problems is Interbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using it to connect through JDBC and ODBC api drivers with one of my applications. ### 3. Other things was the same to me in comparison with common SQL database **What do you dislike about Interbase?** I can't say that I dislike something. Interbase was quite sufficient for my needs. **What problems is Interbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used Interbase as a DBMS for SCADA system. The output of SCADA system was a functional software used in nuclear and heat energetic areas. It means that we stored all the information regarding the control system (mainly signals) using Interbase. ### 4.
