Interaptix Inc. is a pioneering spatial computing technology company specializing in augmented reality solutions for industrial enterprises. Their flagship product, AptixAR, is a cloud-based SaaS platform that enables organizations to create and manage 3D digital twins of their facilities using standard mobile devices like iPads or iPhones. This technology facilitates remote audits, inspections, training, and documentation, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing the need for on-site visits. Key Features and Functionality: - Self-Serve 3D Digital Twin: Users can generate comprehensive virtual replicas of their facilities using only an iPad Pro or iPhone Pro, without the need for specialized hardware. - Spatially Aware Captures: The platform allows for the capture of spatially aware 2D photos and videos, providing high-resolution observational evidence for inspections, assessments, collaboration, and training. - Content Management: AptixAR's web portal enables users to manage all content, including digital twins and spatially aligned captures. Users can add labels, annotations, and notes directly to captures, facilitating better documentation and communication. - Accurate 3D Measurements: The platform includes a ruler tool that allows users to measure distances between two points in 3D space directly within their digital twins. - Virtual Facility Markup: Users can mark up digital twins and share knowledge or provide feedback with persistent augmented reality annotations. Primary Value and Problem Solved: AptixAR addresses the challenges of conducting on-site audits, inspections, and training by providing a remote, immersive solution that reduces travel costs, enhances safety, and improves operational efficiency. By enabling the creation of accurate 3D digital twins with standard mobile devices, organizations can conduct remote assessments and hybrid audits, issue and verify corrective actions in real-time or asynchronously, and bring employees, experts, and stakeholders together in shared 3D spaces from anywhere in the world. This innovative approach not only streamlines workflows but also minimizes the carbon footprint associated with travel, contributing to more sustainable business practices.
