**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

I like that Kong Insomnia is easy to install and get started with. Being a part of the Kong family of products, it's particularly suitable when working on the Kong API Gateway, which makes many features easily available, like MCP and connectivity.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

Right now, it does not have any AI capabilities. API capabilities are there, but if you want to have a natural language conversation interface for your API testing, similar to Postman, those features are not there in Kong Insomnia.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kong Insomnia mainly for testing and sending HTTP requests effortlessly. It aids in API development and debugging, with a user-friendly interface.

It’s an easy tool for testing APIs, organizing requests, switching between environments, and helping developers debug issues faster in their day-to-day work. Also provides direct integration with Github.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

collaboration features are confusing, and some advanced options feel overwhelming compared to Postman

Its integration with Github to centralize API collection is advantage

Insomnia is great for multiple reasons. Most of them are open source, security and flawless functionality.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

Some UI elements and components can not be collapsed, which limits user navigation on smaller screens.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing the functionality of API's, storing collections, and the history of the responses.

**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

I like the ease of use and collaboration in Kong Insomnia. I find it very agile and it has shortcuts that make it efficient for testing internal APIs or when I'm doing an integration.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

The price is a bit high for what they offer, which is just sharing; there are no open-source options.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kong Insomnia to test internal APIs, it is efficient and easy to use, with shortcuts that speed up the work.

One of the best platform to do testing of APIs and check the error logs against request

UI is bit different the other platforms so new user getting difficulties

Testing, managing Tokens, check running apis logs in easy way

Not anything in particular comes to mind

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

- Way too limited org options
- Continously logged out and forced to reenable various crap
- Error messages are terrible and clearly not thought of - e.g. json parse errors in requests
- Bad UI
- Bad and cumbersome git integrations

Mimiccing api clients

**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

Simple to use for the Fresher and learn about Rest APIs
Some times Postman is confusing while using for Pre Test and Tests No extra steps or confusion.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

We cannot create Automation suite or write tests like we can do it on Postman.
Websocket support is not available.
Mocking is also not allowed

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manual testing the API using Kong.
Unlike Postman, I don't have to register the my self to use the functionalities.
All the API Json suites created in the Postman can be imported in Insomainia

**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

I am using insomnia in my current project so have my workflow i.e kong deplyment.
I have created collection and multiple test cases in insomnia and then connect it with git to pass all the test cases and it work smoothly I realy like this functionality of insomnia.
We can easily implemen multiple test cases.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

kong insomnia is not very much scalable.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Directly run test cases with the help of pipeline.

**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

It is open source and it is well documented.
Has good coverage of different authentication modes, and environment variables. One of the best things is the code generation for the calls.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

To unlock some features, like team collaboration, you need to have a paid plan.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is possible to automate certain repetitive tasks, like get aouth in a site and then do more calls with the provided authtoken. This is very useful when trying to inegrate with a third party AIP.
I can share with my coworkers the API calls in order to test or develop.

**What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?**

I think it very easy to use like for create and save workspace , import and export requests and to debug requests.And Insomnia supported a wide range of features, including REST, GraphQL, and SOAP requests, which made it a versatile tool that I could use for a variety of projects.

**What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?**

I think the documentation is not as comprehensive as I would like  so that is too difficult to find information I need.And the application's performance can be slow when i working with l requests.

**What problems is Kong Insomnia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked with Insomnia for sometimes . It help me to reduce waste of time on APIs so my job has become considerably simpler and more effective as a result.The best thing is Insomnia is support for debug requests.
