What do you like best about Infosys Limited?

Infosys always stays on top of latest industry trends and leverage that for their clients and employees.

One such example I came across is Infosys decision to embrace Open Source technologies wherever possible by launching a company wide initiative.

COBALT was also one such revenue driver to fastrack cloud adoption , thus acceleration of digital transformation for them.

Infosys Foundation led by Sudha Murthy worked tirelessly during CoVid and selects one winner each year for the Infosys Science Prize Award.

Overall, I find Infosys to be a responsible organization. Quality partnerships with both clients and government ensures healthy pipeline of projects. What do you dislike about Infosys Limited?

Although, the selection of Project Managers for different Client project is decent, but this isn't the case for ETA Unit which is the Education and Training Business Vertical of Infosys.

After the change of guard in our team, the new manager lacked even the minimum technical knowledge pertaining to the subject. That's because the departure of the old manager was sudden and new one was tasked to lead us. Enough due diligence and scrutiny wasn't performed which dampened the morale of our team and we all underperformed. This was also followed by many exists from the team. For a fresher just out of college, Infosys is one of the best workplaces to join in India. The initial trainings they undergo for the first 3-6 months offers them an opportunity to understand the Infosys culture along with the nuances and intricacies workings of IT industry.

A student just out of college requires such an environment to figure out the path for themselves in a less strict and tolerant environment.

For experienced professionals, there is a mix of projects between legacy, emerging and trending technologies. One may choose to join, but just technological skills won't make the cut. Politics and bureaucracy are prevalent throughout the organization. So, an individual at the mercy of a less competent and empowering leader will have to find workarounds every now and then. What problems is Infosys Limited solving and how is that benefiting you?

Infosys recruits thousands of Freshers from different colleges in India and abroad. After they, they are trained on different technologies at Mysore campus.

My team at IVS had a painful problem of manually reviewing the code solutions submitted by the trainees.
