"Simple, Flexible, and Scales as You Grow"
5/5
What do you like best about Impero?

I really appreciate most the flexibility. When you have something that is this simple to use, both for you as admin and your end user, but it still allows you to grow, make mistakes, expand, this I think is the most valuable quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

As admin you have access to everything. Meaning that cool features like listing the controls you have not attached to a risk etc. drown in the size of your setup. It also means you need to be careful in naming reports, groups of users etc., your programs, as else the task of the admin to move around becomes daunting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Framework That Simplifies Risk, Control Testing, and Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about Impero?

The framework is non-ristrictive and creates an easy setup of the control environment with a connection between risks, controls, control testing and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

Some of the unstructured data is still hard to create value off of. E.g. you have a risk register connected to the controls, but it doesn't show in the controls which risks they mitigate - and you don't have an overview of the controls, and if they all mitigate a control. These problems can of course be solved in other follow-up procedures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, User-Friendly Navigation with Minimal Setup Effort"
4/5
What do you like best about Impero?

Usability, intuitive navigation, minimal implementation effort, no advanced technical skills required, and friendly, hands-on customer support that feels like a personal boutique GRC tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

I am sharing this opinion from the perspective of working with SOX-oriented companies and tools. Impero is very useful and well suited for organizations at an early stage of their maturity journey. However, the tool does not fully address more sophisticated testing and risk assessment needs. With the leverage of other tools this is achievable, but it is not a one-stop shop Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Dashboard and User Groups Make Management Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Impero?

The dashboard provides a convenient overview for quickly checking the status, and I also appreciate the ability to create user groups. This feature makes it easier to assist colleagues with managing the controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

Searching for archived and completed controls can be challenging. After using Impero for an extended period, your activity history accumulates a significant amount of data, which means it can take some time to locate the specific control you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A smart and user-friendly solution to streamline internal control processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Impero?

Impero has completely changed the way we manage internal controls across multiple entities. What I appreciate most is its clarity, structure, and ease of use, both for end-users and administrators. The platform allows for seamless assignment, documentation, and certification of controls with full traceability. The customization options (adding control steps, attaching guidance, evidence uploads, etc.) are excellent. I also like that the corporate governance logic is embedded in the tool — it’s not just a document repository; it helps drive accountability and compliance.

The dashboards make it easy to monitor control status and progress in real time and to adapt the execution and follow-up accordingly, which is a major plus for keeping everything on track and auditable.

Moreover, I’ve had a fantastic experience working with the Impero team who are always proactive, open to feedback, and constantly improving the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

I’d love to see a clearer distinction between central governance and local autonomy. That said, these are already being worked on! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is simple for the end user and very flexible allowing high degree of customization in the control design and setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

The reporting functionalities for controls and risk modules are not good enough to use for management reporting, documentation cannot be edited online during control execution, and the system lacks integration possibilities with our ERP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Modern and user-friendly SaaS for risk- and compliance management"
5/5
What do you like best about Impero?

It's super user-friendly, the modular drag-and drop forms/control builder is great and it offers lots of API-functionality /-access. Great customer support! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Impero?

There are no real downsides, but there are few areas which could be improved depending on your implementation focus, e.g. one control triggering another control, which is not possible at the moment or features for control-testing (which is being worked on by Impero, as far as I know).
