The setup is easy to use and pretty self-explanatory. I like that the medications can be calculated easily via the programming installed. **What do you dislike about IDEXX SmartFlow?** Some of the pre-sets for dosing are not inclusive of all ranges. **What problems is IDEXX SmartFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's solving the never ending paper trail, so it's quite helpful on that level. I also wish you can auto initial a treatment. Smartflow allows me to check on my patients from home. I am able to customize care for each patient, by creating an individual treatment sheet that alerts the technician when the treatment is due. Anesthesia monitoring sheets are available, which you can charge for drugs from during the pre-op stage. There is also a dental charting record available for each patient. Smartflow has saved me so much time personally. I don't miss paper treatment sheets at all! Charges from the treatment sheet can be entered directly into the medical record by signing off on the smartflow sheet. This helps reduce missed charges, keep track of patients treatments, and helps maintain treatment continuity. **What do you dislike about IDEXX SmartFlow?** There is not much to dislike about smartflow in my opinion. Smartflow has improved our patient care quality, improved staff/client communication, and reduced time spent in other areas- i.e.: inputting service charges, handwritten treatment sheets, dental charting, anesthesia monitoring sheets, etc. Smartflow has helped our clinic function better. **Recommendations to others considering IDEXX SmartFlow:** I recommend you get it! Explore your options for EMR compatibility. **What problems is IDEXX SmartFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are reducing missed charges, and maximizing our services. We work hard so we deserve to get paid for the things we do, like critical nursing! The whiteboard feature is wonderful and helps us know where patients are in the building. It has reduced confusion on whether a patient is checked in or not. It has especially helped during the pandemic where we have been providing all services via curbside or drop off. We are then able to specifically notate which animals belong to which car. It has helped greatly! ### 5. Also, when typing in a square, you need to hit enter to save it. We have tablets that we take this us to the patient to fill out. ### 6. It helps us keep track of who is in our hospital and what they are here for. Definitely keeps us on track with our daily tasks. Very customizable for your needs, and can be customized to each individual patient as well. The anesthetic sheet and dental chart are huge lifesavers and the automatic connection to our anesthesia monitoring equipment allows our technicians to focus more on our patients and less on the numbers. **What do you dislike about IDEXX SmartFlow?** There isn't a whole lot that I don't like about Smart Flow. There are some improvements that could be made to the Dental Chart, but it is a very recent addition to the platform, and they have already made massive improvements on the dental chart. **Recommendations to others considering IDEXX SmartFlow:** At least do the trial period to see if you like it. It works great for us and has helped us in so many different ways. We still don't use all the features of smart flow, as some of them don't apply well to us, but it can be used in every aspect of the hospital to help monitor your workflow as well as improve time management for your staff. It is worth every penny we pay for it! The connection to our anesthetic monitors has freed up staff and allow our technicians to better practice their craft versus just recording numbers. It has saved time in making treatment sheets for our patients. **What problems is IDEXX SmartFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved the problem of keeping a correct census for our hospital. We have saved a large amount of time because of the customizability of the software for what we need. It also helps us keep our medical records as accurate as possible for all patients within the hospital. It frees up our technicians time to focus more on the patient than on the paperwork associated with our cases. ### 7. A tool that caught my attention in this software was the treatment sheets, really, they are very useful. And finally, I think it is a very interesting and innovative idea that this product can measure the doses. **What do you dislike about IDEXX SmartFlow?** It seems to me that the list of pending tasks that never be made and that this task has already expired will be eliminated automatically because it would already be becoming a nuisance within the treatment sheet. Another thing that bothers me a lot about this software is that sometimes the system has several errors, so I want everything we have done to be saved automatically for security or in case the system fails. **Recommendations to others considering IDEXX SmartFlow:** Highly recommended this software, I consider it one of the products with more accurate and relevant results. It makes monitoring your patients easier and more precise. You miss less treatments and while monitoring vitals you are reminded when vitals are due. Adding fluid bolus or additional medications is easy to edit. **What problems is IDEXX SmartFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is very helpful for monitoring anesthesia vitals, and post op treatments. ### 10. LOVED!
