A. | IBS Design Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2020 **What do you like best about iBwave Design?** The all in one solution offered by iBwave design has really made a life of indoor radio coverage planning engineer easy and fun, for some of the tasks previously we had to plan and execute specially for BOQ calculation & coverage prediction was so tedious and time consuming to ensure accuracy, but with iBwave it can be done with few clicks, design modification, prediction visualization, 3D modelling of entire building, report generations, with so much of accuracy that we get from iBwave design tool is matchless. it is an all in one solution and with regular updates and revised versions this platform itself has evolved over the time and certainly is a market leader in the domain of small cell and IBS DAS, this has made iBwave Design a must have tool for today's radio planning engineers. I wish them great success in coming years. **What do you dislike about iBwave Design?** I wanted to upgrade myself to level 2 certification, but since my level 1 certification has expired, now I am told to redo L1 again to attempt next level, this is really discouraging. There must be some web based solution for ibwave files made in newer version to convert in older versions, as this some time really become a show stopper and effect the productivity when we had to meet the project time lines and we have older version of the tool. **What problems is iBwave Design solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work as a design engineer, I usually work for planning and design DAS solutions for IBS and repeaters. it has simplify many tasks which would take so much time and efforts if we had to work manually without iBwave design tool. ### 3. Maybe if the developer could make it much more user friendly for the newbies, it will be great. **Recommendations to others considering iBwave Design:** iBwave is a simple and seamless software to create plans or design your wifi and cellular network. Its auto generated reports can be as much as helpful for company's hectic work schedules. **What problems is iBwave Design solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Bill of quantities ang material estimates took too long if you do it manually. But by the help of iBwave, its much easier to generate a BOQ report. Also the prediction plots for the RF conditions, you can easily adjust your antenna design to maximize the coverage. ### 5. The building models that are created can be built with accuracy. As it has so many features for creating building models. The models can be made to look exactly the same as the actual building. **What do you dislike about iBwave Design?** I didn't find think to dislike. just that the licenses are very expensive. **Recommendations to others considering iBwave Design:** It is a great tool for in-building network designs for small cells. if you want to create a building model, iBwave is the tool which can give you the most accurate results. **What problems is iBwave Design solving and how is that benefiting you?** I designed small cell networks for in building solutions. iBwave is very user friendly. We could easily create "building materials" with most accurate propagation losses. running simulations is very easy and the offset between design and actual network readings was very less which is a great thing. ### 17.
