"my experience was doing tests for text to speech which had a high precision,"

What do you like best?

The voice quality is very good to produce security, comfort and does not bother or sound robotic for the person who listens to it, I like that their voice and their tones are friendly and smooth.

In addition, another thing that I like is the wide range of characters they give to test before obliging to pay for the service.

What do you dislike?

its accuracy is sometimes not what is expected but it covers very well what was expected within the range of business, for me its virtues sn superior to the things that I dislike of the tool

Recommendations to others considering the product

if recommended for its versatility and quality

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

as a route guide for transportation in automatic accessibility mode for passengers and they know where they are going and how much is needed to arrive in time and distance.

"A human inside AI"

What do you like best?

What i like best about watson is its compatibility and how watson is there for you, when i was working there i had watson all the time and watson would understand and show me what i truly needed instead of spamming my window with products, watson would know and suggest me my routine work items and tasks. The purity or shall i say the transparency is what i like the best. Its not like a shop who'll present anything just to sell and earn for the day!

What do you dislike?

To be very blunt, i don't remember if there was anything to dislike, watson had helped me so much. But no i can't recall if i dislike anything, maybe i did not try it that hard because there always exist pros and cons!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Business benefits are limitless!

It was more of a hackathon project back in 2017 where the sentiment of a person was recognized by watson and depending upon that watson would either become a companion in joy or a therapist in disguise to help you through the day. Watson was a chatbot, now when i am doing Masters, i came across projects where the sentiment is to be extracted from a sentence to understand the whole context by AI. This is, i believe, what already watson has! A therapist and a companion to those who has no one can be a life changer in a world where everyone feel isolated. The business impact of this model is simply astonishing!

Watson helped alot and felt like Watson deserves a worthy review!

"Excellent interpretation and amazing voice options."

What do you like best?

Accessibility and ease of use are the main components of Watson TTS. along with a variety of accents and voices to chose from. Watson sounds adequately natural. Moreover, it's a pay as you go solution with a flexible pricing point which enable users to leverage Watson TTS at a fair price.

The other aspects that i liked the most were the support and availability, the Watson IoT SDKs are available in almost every major programming language and despite of your product requirements and implementation, you can just plug and play with it.

Another fun feature of it is it can Synthesizes across languages and voices e.g. Convert in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Detects different dialects, such as U.S. and UK English and Castilian, Latin American, and North American Spanish.

What do you dislike?

Watson TTS has not much of language options to chose from, you can start with top languages but many are still under production or not available at all. Additionally it is relatively more expensive then other solutions in the market, which offers more language options as well as more accent options to start with.

Recommendations to others considering the product

IBM Watson TTS is a very mature and stable product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We we developing chatbots with integrated Watson TTS, the conversion from text to speech sounded fairly natural and with a very unique touch. We mostly leveraged US English aspect of it.

Additionally, we leveraged Watson TTS in many IoT related products and demos to enhance their usability with voice feedbacks.

"Transformable Voice - interesting"

What do you like best?

Text narration technology is not new but the transformable voice narration was very interesting.

I think that technology would be very useful in many applications like robotics, media content building, etc.

What do you dislike?

It looks like there are limited language supports like English, French, Italian, and Japanese.

I know that technologies cannot be invented at once but I feel sorry of the limited language support whenever I encountered a fascinating text/speech technology

Recommendations to others considering the product

Their transformable voice narration technology is very fascinating

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am currently working on the text analytics and its application can provide some business insights from the analysis results. If I can take advantage of this IBM Watson Text to Speech, I may be able to consider the better way to provide the text analysis results such as voice instruction not just as text information

"Competitive compared to other platforms"

What do you like best?

- speaks even the most difficult and long words written, in excellent pronunciation

- customize and control pronunciation feature allows more flexibility to deliver sentences in different moods

- support for multiple languages is also one of the best part.

What do you dislike?

a little lag before the start of speech could be improved.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Due to its easy of use and best getting started guide, I would highly suggest it to all who want this functionality added in their project/product.

I've also tried other solutions, but this one, by far, I found is the most reliable and efficient.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am IoT passionate. This is helping me in allowing my Things speak (Literally!)

The Things sent a text to my IoT server, which then after converting to speech, sends audio signals data to user speakers.

"Review for IBM Watson Text to Speech "

What do you like best?

The product is multidimensional, The inbuilt capabilities make the work easier. The expressiveness feature makes the product more friendly to the user on the consumer side. Also, the customization feature helps to load in uncommon words as inputs. Overall it's a solid product for anyone using text to speech synthesis.

What do you dislike?

The price of the product is a bit on the expensive side, which is totally fine if a large organization uses it for its purposes. Also, it would be nice if the product could provide native dialects as an inbuilt feature.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is a solid product in its base form. The user experience is nice and healthy. The various inbuilt features make it more user-friendly and robust to use. It's easy to integrate with existing environments and worked seamlessly in our case.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a small company, we were just trying out the features of the product. The basic tests consisted of inputting text excerpts from various website and measuring the accuracy of the product. Secondary tests consisted of inserting texts from books to sample out audios so that it could be used as an audiobook. Course materials developed within the company were uploaded to the company webpage and other platforms as audio/video files, to further the cause and business of E-learning.

"Flexible and superb!"

What do you like best?

The ease of use service through api. And ability to change the configuration like voice, speed etc. The facility to test the service through a demo account really helped to test the service. Presence of git hub with ready made code also helped a lot.

What do you dislike?

IBM Text to Speech service that provides the free account trail for a month is hampering to get the overview of all the feature available. How about refining the pricing and offering model. Could be something like full features for a day for the work accounts or school accounts.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Iam trying to automate the customer care support that currently handled by the live human agents. We are alsolooking to use IBM text to speech functionality for our web channel to greet the customers and provide the specially abled persons ability to utilize our services through conversion medium.

"Looking for more diverse language support in the future"

What do you like best?

I am reviewing the IBM Watson text to speech app that I first used almost a year ago. I like that a variety of languages were supported, largely English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Japanese. And I liked the expressive voice which was less robotic than the others.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see support for Arabic and more languages in the future.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I have tried the text to speech and speech to text programs, but you need to be careful which languages you are catering your application to.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The Text to Speech application interfaces well with many customer service applications.

What do you like best?

The best part of IBM text to speech is the ease of setting it up, With IBM detailed documentation its pretty easy to understand how the service works, what are the key concepts that one needs to understand for customising for each specific requirement using SSML

"Straightforward and recursive"

What do you like best?

Adding new phases was easy

The program rarely crashed

Watson is a quick learner

What do you dislike?

My colleagues who used it for their presentation talked about colloquialisms and sarcasm being hard to differentiate. Given it is for English, where intonation and vocal changes matter, IBM Watson has done a great job. It does not quite know how to deal with all the questions our clients might ask, or to polite get the conversation back in line.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The paid version can assist with spelling, grammar, etc.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had a chatbot set up for a local nonprofit.

It is entirely beneficial for someone to talk highly of their own business.

"It work well, intuitive enough, but was not the solution my customer decided to deploy."

What do you like best?

Telephony is excellent, although I am not sure if that is the correct word to use. I also like the feature rich environment.

What do you dislike?

I think it was cost prohibitive for a Public Defenders office, and there were a number of other solutions that could do the job.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Certainly worth the evaluation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were taking audio transcripts and transferring them into text for deeper evaluation, case strategy, etc.

"Portuguese Text to Speech"

What do you like best?

We like IBM text to speech better because it sounds way more natural in Portuguese than other APIs we have tried. Also IBM products are easy to use and people there are very helpful.

What do you dislike?

So far so good. Everything is being great. We really enjoy the products.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are giving our customer a shorter way to value. They can interact with our systems by voice, with a mobile app or a browser, basically from anywhere. So they can extend the care the company needs to moments like cooking, driving, exercising and so on.

What do you like best?

It is easy to use and you can find useful examples that give you the foundation to integrate this functionality within your application.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Before starting your own implementation go through the examples IBM is providing, you can save a lot of time.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
