"Strong Centralized Security, But Complex Policy Customization and a Steep Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

In our environment, we managed a mix of corporate and remote devices used by operational teams handling fintech and healthcare-related workflows, including customer support access, reporting systems, teleconsultation tools, and internal operational platforms. One of the biggest challenges before implementing MaaS360 was maintaining consistent security policies and access governance across different device types and user groups.

What stood out immediately was the centralized control and policy management. Device enrollment, application governance, access restrictions, remote security enforcement, and compliance monitoring could all be managed from a single operational layer instead of relying on separate administrative workflows.

Another major advantage was visibility into endpoint compliance and security posture. During audit reviews and operational security checks, infrastructure and compliance teams could quickly identify non-compliant devices, outdated policies, or risky access behavior without manually reconciling data across multiple systems. What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

One thing I disliked about IBM MaaS360 is that while the platform is very strong from a security and governance perspective, managing large-scale device environments can sometimes feel operationally complex, especially during advanced policy customization and troubleshooting workflows.

From a UI/UX standpoint, the platform is functional and enterprise-oriented, but some administrative workflows still feel more infrastructure-focused than modern and streamlined. Teams unfamiliar with enterprise mobility management platforms initially faced a noticeable learning curve, particularly around advanced configuration areas and policy hierarchy management.

Another challenge involved troubleshooting device-specific behavior across mixed environments. Managing policy consistency across different operating systems, device manufacturers, and remote user scenarios occasionally introduced operational complexity during rollout and update cycles.

We also found that integrating MaaS360 deeply into evolving identity management, security monitoring, and zero-trust workflows required ongoing operational alignment and careful governance planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Security and Device Management with IBM MaaS360"
4/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

I really appreciate IBM MaaS360 for its seamless platform that allows me to create a work profile on my personal device, making it incredibly easy to access organizational data securely without any hassle. I like the data security and device control features, which ensure that all data access or shared via the work profile stays within the work profile, so I don't have to worry about data protection constantly. I also find it beneficial that I can onboard multiple devices, which is definitely a plus. Setting it up was very easy, thanks to their detailed step-by-step documentation for both Android and iOS devices. Once set up, I don't need to touch it again, making it a smooth experience. What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

I can share one from my personal experience, if your device is running an older android version you can't access any applications. It'll be better if they can increase the coverage from 3 years to at least 5 years. Switching a mobile device every 3 years is not a practical thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and Secure Management for Remote Teams"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

I like that IBM MaaS360 is much more secure with just minimum effort. The faster onboarding process is a big plus, and IT can support way faster and more conveniently. I also appreciate that it separates work and my private data, making everything clear. As a new joiner, it eases my work and helps me understand the company better by ensuring that all information is secure and not leaked to competitors. The initial setup was quite easy, and I think the IT team completed it within 10 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

I think it blocks out quite a few apps and device features for my laptop, and some settings cannot be changed by myself and always require an admin. I also worry about what information the IT can see, or whether my company will actively track my live location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Mobile Management with Some Setup Challenges"
4.5/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

I like most about IBM MaaS360 is its centralized device management and strong features. It allows us to manage, monitor, and secure mobile devices from a single console, making administration much more efficient. The platform also provides excellent visibility into device compliance and simplifies app deployment and policy enforcement. The most valuable features for us include device compliance monitoring, remote device management, application deployment, and security policy enforcement. These tools help us maintain security standards, quickly troubleshoot issues, deploy apps efficiently, and manage all mobile devices from a centralized dashboard, reducing manual effort for the IT team. What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

While IBM MaaS360 offers a wide range of features, the initial setup and configuration can be complex for new administrators. The user interface could be more intuitive in some areas, and certain reporting options would benefit from additional customization. Improving navigation and simplifying advanced configuration would enhance the overall user experience. For new administrators, more guided setup wizards and step-by-step onboarding resources would help reduce the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, feature-rich platform with seamless carrier integration and fair pricing"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

The software is really easy to use and offers a ton of options to support our devices. It integrated perfectly with our carrier, the onboarding process was easy, and the pricing for our organization was adequate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

It asks for the password for every change, but I would like to see that change. I can see asking for it for administrative changes, but not for everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Device Management with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

I like using IBM MaaS360 for managing and securing company devices across the organization. It helps enforce security policies and ensures corporate data stays protected. It saves lots of time and makes the platform much more efficient and easier to use for the teams. The user-friendly interface and the visibility it provides across all managed devices make troubleshooting and monitoring much easier. It gives clear visibility for all managed devices in one place, saves time in daily device management tasks, and makes security monitoring simple and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

Occasionally, the platform feels a bit slow and customer support response time could be better. At times the dashboard takes longer than expected to load especially while switching between sections. Some actions or updates feel slightly slow. I would like to see faster initial response for users and more regular updates in ticket progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"IBM MaaS360: Strong Fleet Management with Insightful Watson AI Compliance Alerts"
4/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

IBM MaaS360 handles our diverse fleet well, and the Watson AI insights are great for flagging compliance risks early. However, the clunky, outdated admin portal makes policy updates frustrating, and managing Android devices isn't nearly as smooth as iOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

I dislike its clunky, outdated admin portal, which makes daily policy updates tedious and frustrating. Advanced security features are locked behind expensive tiers, and managing Android devices is far less reliable than iOS. The lack of native remote troubleshooting tools also forces our team to rely on clunky third-party workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MaaS360 review"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM MaaS360?

What I like most about IBM MaaS360 is its strong device security and centralised management. It makes it straightforward to manage, monitor, and secure multiple devices from a single dashboard, which is especially helpful in a BYOD environment. The policy controls, remote management capabilities, and integration with other IBM security tools help reduce IT effort while ensuring devices remain compliant and protected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?

The main drawback is that the interface can feel a bit complex at first, especially for new admins. Some of the more advanced features take time to configure properly, and the reporting tools could be more intuitive. I’ve also experienced occasional delays in support responses, and the documentation could go deeper in a few areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
