There are no upsides to companies like this accept that they have sought to extort so many people and hold domains ransom at such a large scale that perhaps some light will be shed on the problem and reveal much needed change in ICANN policy as well as federal and international law. HugeDomains uses unethical methods and bots to steal domains from people. When a previously registered domain goes into 30 days grace a holding period that is supposed to be preserved by registrars, Huge Domains has ways to pull the domain from the grace period before the 30 days. This means if your CC expires unbeknownst because you have it on auto-renew every three years which causes the domain renewal to fail, these guys can swoop in and steal domains that nobody else cares about accept for the individual who held the domain and then basically hold it hostage. All before you even get the email showing a payment issue.

They're no different than ransomware and they are extortionists.

Well the joke is on them in my case, they will have my domain FOREVER because it contains part of my name and is specific to industry, there aren't anymore of me, and I am not playing further victim to their crime. I will use a different domain name.

They use bots to re-register domains as soon as they expire and try to resell them back to the original owners at ferocious markups. The domain I would have renewed at $10 they are trying to sell back to me for $6,200. It's insane. There is literally no one who wants my domain but me and they know that. Absolutely everything.

They will sign you up for a payment plan, take your first payment, and then won't provide details on how to access their payment portal to make continued payments. Then, when you reach out to support at an attempt to gain access to said payment portal, HugeDomains won't help at all, literally.. not even an email telling me to go fu*k off or to go jackoff a bobcat with a hand full of cockleburrs.. just nothing.. like the pieces of human shiit that they are. All of em'.

They won't reduce the price so I can buy MY domain name back. I am a small business owner and the price keeps going up. I've asked to pay less and never get a response. Many years ago, I created this domain and when my credit card auto payment slipped due to a card hack after which I forgot to update in auto pay, these people purchased my domain without letting me know that my payment was late and even thought I've asked to purchase back MY domain name at a lesser price, they won't do it. They are like the ambulance chasers of domain names, preying on peoples domains, waiting until they slip then scooping them up and seller them for a mint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a good business model but really they are nothing more than loan sharks with massively inflated markups. The internet is littered with stories of how huge domains squatted on names and various sharp practices, but don't take my word for it, google them and always do your own research. This website and business have been scammy and concerning for years. They have a tendency to drop domains when you least expect it. They also buy up domains for trademarked names, which is shady.
