**What do you like best about Hostwinds?**

I have been Hostwinds customer for a few months now and have used their services to set up and manage many different domains for both my company and those of clients. Most often, everything works great right from the start, but occasionally when building new web spaces or changing, upgrading, or maintaining existing sites, problems can arise. This is where Hostwinds seems to shine.

**What do you dislike about Hostwinds?**

I'm highly confident in this host that this kind of thing (15 mins of downtime) will not happen. Hostwinds will take care of you, as they have me.

**What problems is Hostwinds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They could not get a definite answer from who they hosted with or would take forever before receiving a response from support.

They have many different ways to contact for support including online support 24/7. 
I have put this to the test and was amazed to see it was true. Fast server, no downtime as of yet, they keep you informed about the company and the prices are affordable.

Domain management has been very good. We had one problem at renewal, but we were served well by customer support to resolve the issues. 
I have rented Hostwinds shared hosting accounts from these guys for almost 11 months, and whenever I need help due to my inexperience, they are always there with a quick response.

I've had numerous others in the past, only for them to cause hours of work with every change they made to their systems.
Answers were clear and concise, with links. In less than half an hour I was uploading my files and, as name servers updated almost immediately, the site started running.

Only positive thoughts about the service I'm getting. Replies came in less than one minute after the start.

Never had a problem with Hostwinds hosting, except for a server glitch, which they took care of within 40 minutes of my notifying them.

In general, if you run a business on the web, you will not want to take that kind of risk. So it took over 3 weeks to find the most reliable web host on the net, it is Hostwinds without any doubt.
The sales representative was responsive, I told him my requirements and he offered me the best hosting fit for my needs.

I was a bit hesitant, but after reading customer hosting reviews, I gave them a try. Looks to be a good host to use.

Since moving to Hostwinds hosting, I have added almost 8 sites that are easily managed through my console access. 
Their network uptime is great and I must also say that the speed connectivity is pretty fast. My website is always up, that is to consider great network uptime they provide.

Setup of my website took over 4 hours, but it's ok cos the site is up and running efficiently now.

Technical customer service is quick and perfect, however, for technical questions, they asked me to contact technical service directly, by submitting a support ticket. I did that and received the answer really quickly (in less than an hour). This I call really customer-oriented web host!

I DON'T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL

I've purchased a Full managed VPS server on 18/09/2021 and today is 19/10/2021 and I will give you my experience during this period, and I've told them many times that we are an International Organization and our server should be up the 99.999% they keep mentioning, and our experience as below :

  1- Network issue with Main server in Amsterdam, Node Issues
  2- High CPU Usage 100% while no process in VPS involved, and It was an issue with the node ( based on Support reply)
  3- our Volume storage of 100GB that used as mail storage directory that we had 70GB used on it got corrupted in the filesystem on 04/10/2021 because of a network issue in main server in Amsterdam (the same day Facebook/Whatsapp was down)
  4- I bought another volume storage as a backup, and when I deleted it, the VPS shut down to detach the volume and never boot again.
5- based on the #4 mentioned we was using the server to host our self hosted emails only, because of stability issue on the network of the main server in Amsterdam, we hosted our website somewhere else, and I've detached the volume at 4 PM at 17/10/2021 and i noticed the server never boot up again, then i opened a ticket and they answered at 7pm that they working on it and asking me if i did anything with server configs !, i told them i only detached volume storage.
then till 9 pm nothing !!! I've sent a reply to the ticket telling them that's an email server and it's been 5 hours and the server was down !! what's wrong, they answer came after 2hours .."still investigating"
i wake up the next day at 8 am, and the server is still down !! I've sent a reply, the answer came after 2 hours, "still investigating" !! and every reply I'm asking them to fix the issue ASAP because we are expecting emails and we need to send emails .. when i say that. i got no feedback at all, !!!
at 4pm , ( 24hours from the issue started ) I've sent a reply, asking,, why it took 24 hours to investigate and fix and run the server !!
the feedback was, there's an issue with the main disk on our VPS that don't wanna boot and they can't even use the VNC to connect to the server !! ( a tier 4 support reply )

then I realized that the support team sucks and I can't count on them on support.

I've asked them to stop investigating, re-install the server, install centos7+CWP and attach the volume storage that holds our emails, this task took them 2-3 hours to make happen

then I've moved to another hosting provider and created a new server and moved all our emails to it from hostwinds, and now I'm not using it anymore and our invoice will end at 22/10/2021

I've all tickets if anyone needs it to see and validate it.

AGAIN, DONT USE HOSTWINDS
