Impressed! The knowledge base has enough information for someone like myself to get to grips with things, while their customer service is so good at times I almost feel spoilt, having always been fast in response and informative with problems being resolved in a short time. No prepayments, no credit cards are asked for. I found Hostwinds to be a great hosting service.

**What do you dislike about Hostwinds?**

Hostwinds known to be a little pricier than other providers perhaps, but I switched to them from a lower-priced provider so I could get honest feedback about my site and about my business.

I chose Hostwinds advanced web hosting account because they prided themselves on under-selling hardware. 
My site's performance immediately improved after the switch, and has remained consistently at this new level.

The live support is not always there but once caught online, they will really help you with your troubles. Overall 5 out of 5 Rating!

Great support and pricing. It may not have all the latest features etc. ( autoinstall of CMS packages, Forums etc. ) and it's simple, inexpensive, and reliable. I have several domains hosted at Hostwinds for several years, and have only had 1 outage.

Great customer support, very responsive and fast, I would suggest them even, from simply websites to major projects.

I read the user comments and was misled regarding the quality.

**What do you dislike about Hostwinds?**

Had three websites migrated to Hostwinds. After four months of countless support tickets, the websites never worked correctly. Frustrated with their hack attempts, I moved to Hostinger. Using the same backup files as provided to Hostwinds, migration with Hostinger was seamless and absolutely no issues using Wordpress. The difference in speed was dramatic. I requested a prorated refund from Hostwinds. Buyer beware. They only offer a credit on additional services. A gimmick. Who would want to remain with a provider after such a deplorable experience. In my view, this gimmick is tantamount to coercion to trade up and double down on a pathetic experience. I have no idea how many sales were lost using Hostwinds but thankfully, Hostinger had my sites up and running smoothly with the added advantage of very fast Wordpress editing online. If using Wordpress, I would strongly recommend avoiding Hostwinds. Their technical staff is underwhelming.

They failed to provide reliable troubleshooting of my Wordpress sites they migrated, causing glitches they never fixed.

This was my first contact and it was the quickest, most helpful support I've received for a long time from anyone. I did a chat on Saturday evening, was connected right away, and spent nearly 49 minutes including a time when I lost my chat window for a time (my fault) and when I got back to it, the rep was still waiting patiently, picked up right where we left off. Answers were clear and concise, to the point, and took care of my questions fully. I signed up for hosting service based on both the excellent pricing and especially on the speed and ease of getting help!

We run over 50,000 page views per month which is pretty good for Wordpress. 
Hostwinds e-mail service is just too damn complete that i dont have to email them about the same problem.

The site always responds quickly, even during peak times and the cost is much less than the solution I had to have with my previous host.

Uptime is great and i must also say that the speed connectivity is pretty fast. Hostwinds is a cool web host. On the navigation menu, there is live stats/information about your space & bandwidth usage. For me it is the principal aggregate value. This is true!

Hostwinds is a fantastic web host - they solve problems and in an extremely timely manner. When I have a problem, their technicians get information that I can give them and determine what the problem is and fix it for me, while in most cases, you are in an IM session.

If my business grows, I'll just switch over to dedicated hosting. Nothing to dislike about the service provided.

I've been with many hosting providers and have never found a host that offers the service and support I get from Hostwinds web host. My business started small with Hostwinds web hosting provider, but I am certain that its reliability is one of the factors that have made my business bigger.

Problems are always addressed quickly. Reliable servers, great software, perfect for shared hosting. Hostwinds ROCKS! We host our gamer magazine with them cause the servers are super fast. The Windows managed vps hosting gets 5 stars from us! My site has been up from the very beginning, and never had any problems.

I just used Hostwinds service for a weird permission problem when accessing my hosting directory. At first, I talked to a phone agent, who was very helpful, but could not determine the error from my description. He referred me to create a ticket and include some screen shots. In less than 10 minutes, an agent responded to the ticket with the answer I needed, having determined it from one of the screenshots.

Hostwinds was recommended to me through my blog template designer and at first I was a bit unsure of using them for hosting as never heard of them before. I could not have made a better decision. There customer service is second to none and they are on hand 24/7. Servers are rock-solid and work with no glitches.

I've been with Hostwinds hosting services for 5 months now. All hosting service encounters problems from time to time, but I'm quite impressed with the resources this provider puts into action to resolve issues quickly. I am 100% satisfied with dealing with this SSD web host! Really cool!

Uptime and Service have been excellent. This is what a hosting service is supposed to be. Highly recommended.

Why. Their support. Just AMAZING. Chat is always great and if they can't handle it there ticket system is even more. I mean open a ticket and get a response from them in no more than 15 min.

Upon initial signup of our hosting package, I simply went to my user service area and click on the DNN installation script, and their simple-to-use installation wizard had my website up and ready for use in less than 10 minutes.

I can't say enough about the support provided by the Hostwinds team as I've worked to launch my e-commerce site. Over the past year, Lucus, Tony, Chris and many others have repeatedly gone well above and beyond what a customer should reasonably expect in terms of troubleshooting and proposing solutions to issues that I never could've worked through myself. Their patience and expertise are huge assets to Hostwinds, and there is no way my business could have launched without them.
