We can easily start recording, perform the workflow normally, and Guidemaker captures the actions/screenshots. The generated guide can then be edited and customized. Guidemaker has the ability to generate a guide quickly from a recorded workflow. Its website demonstrates guide generation in about 25 seconds. It supports both browser capture and desktop capture on Mac/Windows. It allows integration with various tools like Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, ClickUp, Zendesk, WordPress, Webflow and Coda. It also supports sharing through links and exports such as PDF, HTML, Markdown and video on paid plans. The onboarding process is quite simple with a short getting-started guide and a free starting tier. Paid Team and Enterprise plans add dedicated customer success, while Enterprise includes custom onboarding and training. When doing knowledge transfers with new colleagues, I can simply use the browser extension while performing the task, and it automatically captures the steps and creates a video. I don't need to prepare a separate manual or record a voiceover. This makes it much easier to explain processes, share workflows, and help new team members learn a task quickly. **What do you dislike about Guidemaker?** One limitation I have noticed is that the free version has a time limit for recordings, which can be restrictive when documenting longer workflows or complete knowledge-transfer sessions. It took me 2 minutes to figure out how to take fully advantage of it. **What do you dislike about Guidemaker?** I wish Guidemaker thought outside of.. the browser: How about instructing my team on how to use this or that software, or to maneuver on Windows? Their browser extension is also easy to use, and their editing and generated guide is very straightforward, where we can add notes and highlight important steps while blurring the sensitive information as well. This has made documenting repetitive processes much faster and far more consistent. Their onboarding of internal training is also exceptional when compared with other platforms out there in this space. **What do you dislike about Guidemaker?** Though this platform covers most of the documentation needs well, it also primarily focuses on grading process guides rather than being a complete knowledge management platform, and hence we might still need to organise content with another documentation system.
