Guideline Buddy Reviews & Product Details

Guideline Buddy is an AI-powered assistant purpose-built for the mortgage industry. Designed by mortgage veterans, it helps underwriters, loan officers, processors, and compliance professionals instantly search, interpret, and apply investor guidelines across agencies like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM lenders. Manually searching loan guidelines can be slow, inconsistent, and error-prone. Guideline Buddy centralizes this fragmented knowledge and delivers real-time answers backed by official investor sources. Users type in full loan scenarios using natural language, and the assistant returns accurate, investor-specific responses, citations included. It is used by mortgage professionals to improve speed, reduce risk, and standardize decisions across teams. Guideline Buddy is flexible enough to support common scenarios like income type eligibility, LTV limits, property type restrictions, and more complex use cases involving exceptions, overlays, or multi-layered program comparisons. Key features include: Natural language search that understands complex, real-world loan scenarios Side-by-side investor comparisons to identify the best fit across agencies and lenders Support for overlays, exceptions, and internal guidelines to reflect company policy Mobile-responsive UI and Spanish-language support for better team-wide accessibility Organization-specific tuning to align tone, precedent, and decisioning style Guideline Buddy acts as a 24/7 virtual scenario desk. It enables faster decisions by surfacing investor rules instantly and reduces reliance on tribal knowledge or siloed subject matter experts. It also helps with onboarding and training by offering consistent, repeatable guidance. The platform can be used as a standalone tool or integrated into loan origination systems, CRM platforms, and knowledge bases. Continuous updates ensure alignment with evolving investor requirements, regulatory changes, and company-specific preferences.
