"Great for Day-to-Day Recruiting, Needs More Flexibility Behind the Scenes"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

Scheduling has been one of the standout features — it's been easy and straightforward to use for coordinating interviews. We also appreciate the flexibility to update job descriptions whenever something changes, without hassle. Similarly, being able to easily fix job info fields and add notes directly within the requisition has been really helpful for keeping things organized and up to date. What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

few areas could use improvement. The Jobs tab doesn't allow sorting by all of the column headers (Job, Req ID, Dept, etc.), and it would be great to have the ability to customize that view.

We'd also like to see more flexibility with job templates — once a job draft has been saved, there's no way to designate it as a template afterward. We've created several jobs that should have been templates but missed clicking that option during setup, and now have to recreate them entirely rather than simply converting them. Along the same lines, we have old drafts that were used informally as templates that we'd like to delete or archive, but don't currently have a good way to do that.

Lastly, for our TA Partners, it would help if the "Days to Fill" metric started counting from the day the requisition was actually posted, rather than earlier in the process. Delays caused by hiring managers — like late kickoff form submissions or missed kickoff meetings — currently count against our TA Partners' days-to-fill numbers, even though that's outside of their control. "Clean, Intuitive Recruiting Platform That Streamlines Hiring End to End"
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

Greenhouse has been a valuable platform for managing our recruiting process from end to end. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy for both recruiters and hiring managers to navigate, making collaboration and candidate management seamless. It integrates well with the other tools in our HR technology stack, which helps reduce manual work and keeps our hiring workflows efficient. The platform is reliable, performs consistently, and provides robust reporting that helps us make data-driven hiring decisions. While it is an investment, the time savings, improved collaboration, and streamlined recruiting process deliver strong value and a positive return on investment. The onboarding experience was smooth, and the support team has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever assistance was needed. I also appreciate the AI-powered features and automation that help simplify administrative tasks and improve overall recruiting efficiency. Overall, Greenhouse has made our hiring process more organized, consistent, and effective while enhancing the experience for both our team and our candidates. What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

While Greenhouse is a strong recruiting platform overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some advanced reporting and customization options can be complex and require additional time to configure. Certain workflows involve more clicks than necessary, and there are opportunities to make the interface more streamlined for frequent tasks. The AI and automation features are helpful but could offer more flexibility and deeper insights. Additionally, some integrations require extra configuration or third-party support to achieve the desired functionality. Although customer support is generally responsive, resolving more complex issues can sometimes take longer than expected. These are relatively minor concerns, and they do not outweigh the overall value the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Industry-Leading API Integrations Make Greenhouse a Tech Stack Favorite"
4/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

What I like the most about Greenhouse is how popular it is across other tech stack and tools in the world as their API is a lead in being able to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

Greenhouse is looking to evolve to features that will really drive the right person right to you and get them through the process quickly. However Greenhouse at a base level has a decent UI but still clunky between switching jobs and candidates. The performance is great at a basic level but really slows down if you are doing data and reporting. Or if you try to use the Google Connector - be prepared to get a snack while you wait for a complex spreadsheet to load. As of 2025, AI, intelligence, sourcing, MCP, and other features are severely lacking. And with new tools out there, pricing feels to be the higher end of it's more modern competitors. "Outstanding Support and Fast Innovation That Keeps Up With TA Trends"
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

Greenhouse's customer support and implementation of feedback is my favorite thing about Greenhouse. If something is missing, it isn't ever too long before it's being introduced. The Greenhouse team does a great job innovating and keeping up with current TA & technology trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

I would love if some integrations could be integrated into Greenhouse directly, like Grayscale. It'd be great if I didn't have to use Google Chrome to access Grayscale and could make adjustments in Greenhouse directly as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Recruitment with User-Friendly Interface"
4/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

I use Greenhouse for recruitment and applicant tracking. It makes it a lot easier for us to track applications and import that information into our HRIS system. It's easy to use. Even though the stages were a little confusing at first, I now think they make a lot of sense. I value using the stages and really like the ability to easily pull out the resumes and swipe through them to approve or decline. The initial setup was pretty easy, and I don't think we had any issues going through it. I'm likely to recommend it because I think the system works very well. What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

I wish that the portal looked a little bit better for the job opening page. It's just very bare bones, like just a name of a position and a link. If it could have a nicer user interface and look prettier, I think it would attract a few more applicants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive & Easy to Use System"
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

Greenhouse is a system that allows us to easily track all activities for candidates through email and text - which is most helpful in this current hiring climate. Having the ability to do both offers flexibility with candidates who prefer different methods of communication. Additionally, Greenhouse is easy to use for the Company as well as applicants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

The extra step when you hire someone is cumbersome as we move them into the Onboarding platform. I feel as though having the move stage feature should continue to be the same throughout the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Design, Comprehensive Staff Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

I like that Greenhouse is detailed, easy to use, and has a great design. It keeps everything in one place, so I don’t have to search for information elsewhere or keep asking colleagues. I also love the light color palette, which is easy on my eyes, and the clear organization that helps me always know where to look when I need something specific. On top of that, I like that I can add details about candidates and quickly search for any information I need. The initial setup was amazing, and overall it’s a tool I’d rate 10 out of 10 for sure! What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

Sometimes when I do not write the full name of a candidate the information does not show up, lack of prediction Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use ATS"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

Reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and managing scorecards. These are features I use regularly, especially for scheduling. Makes it very easy to use where I can send a confirmation email with a click of a button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

Greenhouse is not a great CRM. I like this for scheduling, application review... it's a great ATS. However, I like to pipeline candidates and have a pool where I can recruit from and unfortunately Greenhouse just isn't designed like that. You can tag candidates, but there's not a great way to search for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I am recruiter with 5 years of experience using various top notch Applicant Tracking Systems."
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

I really like that I can do my whole recruitment process through Greenhouse from creating a requisition to placing an offer. I love that I don't need to personally make multiple tracker and can instantly see my candidates that need action. I also love new AI integration that allows me to modify the tones of my conversation. I love how it performs the same all the time and there are no glitches. I also love it's integration with Docusign that allows me to send offers from Greenhouse directly. I also love how I can reach out to their support time any time and get help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

Every time I open a new role and I have to set a start date, that start date starts from the month I started using Greenhouse. In order for me to go to the current month, I have to do multiple taps and it is very difficult to do those taps as UI changes each time and that new button appears somewhere else and I cannot just quickly tap at a single place and do it.

I also don't like that I cannot choose a scorecard for each candidate differently. I generally have uniform scorecards for an entire role but sometimes I have candidate specific questions and I would love to individually set scorecards ahead of the interview.

Some of the interviews that I schedule are supposed to be private interviews but Greenhouse does not give me an option to make them private. I have to open my calendar and make it private after scheduling. What if someone sees it before I make it private!

I am also not a super fan of Greenhouse pricing. I recommended it to a couple of start ups and they told me that it is too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes talent acquisition seamless"
5/5
What do you like best about Greenhouse?

I love how intuitive the interface is, which makes it easy for recruiters and hiring managers to collaborate smoothly throughout the hiring process. The structured interview kits and customizable scorecards help ensure candidate evaluations stay consistent and aligned across the team. Integrations with other tools like LinkedIn and Slack feel seamless, and they help keep our workflow efficient.

Greenhouse also provides strong transparency and tracking across the entire hiring funnel, so it’s easier to see where candidates are and what’s needed next. The automation for tasks like interview scheduling and email templates saves us a ton of time and reduces back-and-forth. On top of that, the analytics and reporting features give valuable insights into recruiting performance and help us understand what’s working and where we can improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greenhouse?

The initial setup can feel a bit complex, especially when you’re configuring custom workflows. Some of the reporting features could also be more flexible for advanced data analysis.

The mobile experience isn’t as smooth as the desktop version, and a few integrations require additional cost or extra technical setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
