My ONLY dislike with gravity forms is the difficulty in formatting the visual look of them. I'm a designer but not a programmer so trying to make the forms look pretty like I want them on my site has proved to be difficult for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lots to like with Gravity Forms. First and and foremost, it integrates with a wide range of other products. And for those products it doesn't directly integrate with, you can typically connect to your other product with Zapier (I haven't ran across any of my apps that I couldn't use at least Zapier with). Building forms is pretty straightforward. You get a lot of form field inputs out of the box and designing a form is easy as well. However, you also have quite a bit of flexibility with how you want it designed. Conditional logic is critical for me, and GF covers my needs there as well.

I use GF for a variety of use cases too...Marketing (landing page inputs, quizzes/surveys); Custom Carts/Checkout; Courses (custom membership profiles, custom forms within my courses, etc.) to name a few.

I've tried about every top-tier form platform there is...and finally stopped bothering to check out the others because I've always stuck with GF. Price-wise, they are pretty affordable as well. I use GF across a large number of sites, so I appreciate the Elite license that lets me use it on unlimited sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like how easy to customize and build the forms are in terms of adding fields.

Like that when I uninstall settings can be completely removed.

Like that we can use as a payment option for simple ordering things.

Like option to be able to send to multiple users or admins.

Missing the Square option for purchases!!! This was as a huge selling point for myself and many of clients. Many people already use Square and setting up Stipe or another payment gateway is a bummer for many clients. Please bring this option back!

Wish there was a way to make the forms "look" better. I have had to compile my own CSS variations over the years, but it's annoying having to carry this CSS form site to site. I wish there was a way to build in better looking check boxes, radio buttons, select options, and adjust things like padding to text fields and overall style to forms. Even better would be to save this customization and import it into the plugin like how you can import or export forms.

Wish there were many of the addons like adding a unique ID to submissions (https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-unique-id/) or option to use image or icon instead of regular check box or radio button. Licensing, integration, security, and authority. We utilize Gravity Forms across a couple of dozen websites. One of the benefits of gravity forms is the licensing. You choose a license plan that is fairly priced to work with the size of your agency. With licensing we receive top notch support, continuous update rollouts. Integration is an essential part of Gravity's perks. Packed w/ numerous integrations with all types of integrations from payment processing to application submission. Gravity excels in it's ability to integrate w/ so many platforms. The security of side of Gravity is pretty bad ass as well. Askimet, Honeypot, and Google Recaptcha gives you the ability to sift through most spam related inquires that wordpress sites fight and deal w/ daily due to the popularity of WP cms. And lastly, authority. Any agency that uses Wordpress has probably heard of Gravity Forms. It is by far the #1 form system offered in the wp enviroment. Styling - Form validation is a bit outdated look and can clunk up a page quickly. Fortunately through CSS you can do anything for styling. I think Gravity forms can continuing excelling by delivering prebuilt modern/minimal/simple styled forms to their customer base. I'm an intermediate wp user and I know there is so much that can be done w/ Gravity. It can sometimes be challenging going through documentation to accomplish types of actions. Our most recent project was building a Vehicle lookup on hgwheel.com so users can select their make/model/year to link to associated products under that selection. This was very tricky and put on hold due to some lack of data on our end....BUT would like to see gravity utilized and documented on how it can be used to tie into woocommerce more. Things like pulling/populating in post category/tags/attribute information already stored in WP db. This can probably already be accomplished, but some users like me are limited on that development knowledge, so would be nice if Gravity looked into some prebuilt internal wp integrations like this. Simplicity, clarity, flexibility, Support.

Anyone can use Gravity Forms - my technical team 'gets it' in about 5 minutes. My clients can learn how to leverage the software in a quick tutorial. Overall, we find that adoption process is as quick as anything we've ever tried and never had any problems -- even with the most steadfastly stubborn clients! I suppose that I would generally say that the only downfall of the product is that at the "free" level, it's not as robust. I have the professional license, so I have all resources available.

Another possible downfall is that it's very uncommon to see GF installed as a default on themes when you first install. Not sure if I just never see them, or if I buy themes that avoid GF, but I always have to remove other form tools and install GF instead.

It would be helpful too if the CSS Customization were more intimately woven into the product - rather than always found on the support side. I feel like I have to routinely look up certain ready-classes to help make my installation as integrated and stylistic as I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The many extensions available are my favorite part. There is so much you can do with Gravity Forms out of the box, and even more with the myriad of extensions available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The drag and drop on the back end isn't always the best user experience. Also, I wish you could switch the type of input field without having to delete the entire block and re-add it, like if I started with radio buttons but then found that I actually needed checkboxes. It would be nice if I could just switch between inputs such as radio, checkbox, and select boxes. Lastly, it would be nice, on the back end, if the user didn't' need to manually input the CSS-ready classes for Gravity Forms to achieve columns in their layouts, like when making fields 50% 50% on the same line. It would be nice if each field had layout options similar to page builders where you can specify column widths within the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a quasi-developer, but experienced visual designer, I like the add-ons available to make the form development and data processing smoother and what I imagine when designing. While I have no issue with finding and installing GF compatible add-ons, some days wish it was all encapsulated in one application. That would be a huge timesaver, but I understand not all things for all users. Had an issue with a conditional form that required an update, but the notice to update wasn't apparent.
