**What do you like best about Google Cloud Vision API?**

I primarily use Google Cloud Vision API for OCR and image analysis in automation projects. The API has been consistently accurate, with high OCR accuracy and reliable image recognition, which allows me to extract text from invoices, receipts, and scanned documents with very little manual correction, saving a lot of processing time. I love how easy it is to integrate with Python and other Google Cloud services due to the API's simplicity and well-organized documentation. The pre-trained AI models perform consistently well without requiring extensive tuning, making it easy to get production-ready results quickly. I also appreciate the seamless integration with the Google Cloud ecosystem, allowing me to build scalable workflows without maintaining my own computer vision models. The initial setup was very easy, and overall, the combination of these features makes it incredibly beneficial for my projects.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud Vision API?**

One area that could be improved is pricing transparency, as estimating costs for large-scale image processing workloads can be a bit challenging. While the OCR and vision models are highly accurate overall, they can occasionally struggle with low-quality scans, handwritten text, or complex document layouts, so some post-processing or validation is still necessary for critical applications. I'd like to see stronger support for noisy scans, handwritten text, and documents with complex tables or multi-column layouts, as these are the cases where OCR accuracy tends to drop. It would also be helpful if the API provided more detailed confidence scores, layout analysis, and built-in post-processing suggestions so developers can more easily identify uncertain results and reduce the amount of custom validation logic they need to build.

**What problems is Google Cloud Vision API solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Google Cloud Vision API to eliminate the need for custom computer vision models, reducing manual data entry and development time. It's accurate for OCR and image tasks, integrates easily, and saves a lot of processing time.
