Easy to deploy, manage, and scale relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server without handling the complexities of infrastructure management. It may become costly at scale and has limitation on configuration and extension with postgres, it restricts advanced use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?

First of all it reduce the complexity of setting up on prem database by deploying it in cloud. So it become more convenient for user to manage database through the internet without wasting their money on on prem setup and management.
