The flexibility and the ability to develop scripts for repetitive tasks is very advantageous. Using SDK can save a lot of time than using GUI. What we call google cloud development kit. It provides various tools like bq, kubectl, gcloud, etc. for different purposes. It provides the complete documentation on its website for those who are going to use it the very first time. Documentation is clear to understand and also provides code snippets. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud SDK?** I do not dislike anything about google cloud development kit because it made developers' life easy by provide this development kit where various tools and libraries are integrated into one place. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud SDK:** There are two very effective cloud tools providers in market AWS and Google. But most organizations use AWS for their requirement of cloud computing. But if go through both of these documentation we found they almost worked in the same manner but there billing is different from each other if you compare both this software you will found out that Google is very much cost-effective than AWS. So I recommend the Google cloud Development kit. **What problems is Google Cloud SDK solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using google cloud SDK you can use various google cloud functionality in one place. For example, I have used google pub/sub messaging using this development kit for messaging on different app in the node.js. After reading its documentation which is provided by Google itself you can start using it easily. On google, cloud data is stored in encrypted form so it's not hackable. ### 18. I used it mainly to access and manage my Cloud Compute instances and it made writing scripts easier and concise. It integrates many GCP products in one place and so made my life easier not to need to use each corresponding API of every product I use. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud SDK?** I don't like the documentation that much, I think this is my problem with most of the products. I also get confused sometimes with the development phase of each feature sometimes they aren't stated that clear (alpha/beta/etc..). **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud SDK:** Using SDK, you can do what a 100 line of code do - by using the products API - in just a few lines of code. **What problems is Google Cloud SDK solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used GCP SDK to access Google Compute instances and manage my Pub/Sub topics and subscriptions. I also used it to automate some work which depends on frequent creation and deletion of a Kafka Cluster through Dataproc. The pricing is flexible and adapts to our product use, plus we got a free one year trial and a few hundred dollars worth of credits at sign up. Almost every Google Cloud Platform products are located into one place with this SDK which makes it easier to use the correlating APIs. The tools are flexible on any platform, we can confirm them working well on Linux and Windows servers. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud SDK?** Documentation is as important as the product, and I believe Google could improve on theirs. We did found most of our answers through their support channels, but some had to be found on external website. They are getting better, almost perfect! **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud SDK:** We strongly recommend that you to use Google Cloud SDK, and their Google Cloud Platform for your next project. They offer a complete solution worth investing time and resources. The installation tips are pretty standard, but the troubleshooting details are simply not there. If someone on Stack Overflow hasn't solved your problem, you're pretty much stuck. Unfortunately, we were unable to fully try the product as we were unable to get it up and running completely. **Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud SDK:** Be prepared for a serious time commitment in trying to get the system started. Ultimately, while I'm sure it's great when it works, we were unable to realize any benefit because the installation flopped on our system.
