Just because an application is running in the cloud, doesn‚Äôt mean you want it to be accessible to the outside world. Cloud NAT, Google Cloud‚Äôs managed Network Address Translation service, enables you to provision your application instances without public IP addresses while also allowing them to access the internet ‚Äî for updates, patching, config management, and more ‚Äî in a controlled and efficient manner.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud NAT?**

It reduces cost by assigning nat IP address to the VMs, and also since your compte engine does not have a public IP address attached, it is more secured.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

NATs does  not support inbound connections, hence any services needs to be accessible over the public will be problematic.

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since cloud acts as a Managed servies, which eliminates the manual config and maintence of NAT gateways.
since GCP offering this, it is cloud adoptable :)
Security : since private IP address is hidden.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud NAT?**

Setting up Google cloud NAT is easy.  It hides your private servers, by assigning NAT to them, which adds layer of security to your infra.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

No drawback as such, since Google cloud is well known, cost may be bit on a higher side.

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solving NAT gateway maintenance, which is reducing operational complexity. It is solving high traffic over the application by readily giving the NAT IP's which is scalable at enterprise level.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud NAT?**

Best Native cloud tool to use the application without public IP address and easy to setup. Best part of this tool is that the support service  is available for 24*7 . It is a cloud best platform where we can easily setup a public based application in low cost.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

There is so any dislike points about this platform but only sometimes faced packet dropped issue.

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to setup the application without use of public IP address and easy to communicate on this platform.It helps to reduce the cost in comparison of other platforms that are providing same services.

Pricing is cheap and relatively easy to setup. If you want non public VMs but still should be able to connect to the public internet, NAT is the way to go!

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

Should have an option to setup a NAT along with a private Compute Engine Instance

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connect private VMs (no public IPs) to the public internet. This is required for non-private internet usage in VMs siuch as downlaoding packages from the internet.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud NAT?**

* Best part is it does not decrease the bandwidth since it is independent and maintained by Google.
* Cloud NAT does not depend on any of our VMs. It runs on physical machines that run our VMs.
* Automatic scaling based on NAT IP address count.
* Individual VMs do not need external IP addresses to access the internet for updates.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

* First off, the price of the NAT gateway is determined hourly based on how many VM instances use it. The maximum number of VM instances can be used in an hour is 32.
* Gateways that serve more instances than specified are also charged at the highest hourly cost.

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* A few advantages of Google Cloud NAT include easier networking, more security, and cost savings.
* Organizations can streamline their networking setup and eliminate the need for intricate firewall rules by adopting Cloud NAT.

Allow VMs to get data without using its public IP. Also it is scalable service by GCP

Sometime packet drops can be noticed if it is not configured correctly

It allows my instance in a private subnet to reach internet without using public IP

Sometime complex to setup. And packet drop can be noticed it misconfigured

it gives you a way to protect your cloud resources by giving them a virtual private cloud an so they are not accessible to public IP Addresses

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

initial settin up takes a bit of learning curve for one tobe fully able to use it but for tech savvy developers it should be straight forward

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

securing our cloud because simply that something is on cloud doesn't mean that everyone should have access to it and Google Cloud NAT has the virtual cloud service which one can use to test and develop almost any environment and share and test out with peer developers but not giving general access to all and sundry

**What do you like best about Google Cloud NAT?**

I like the efficiency  at which the software can be used to upload and transfre data documents. It can also be easily integrate with other office packages.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud NAT?**

This software can be problematic in terms of access particularly for basic users. It seems not to allow operation offline as this can help serve costs on internet access.

**Recommendations to others considering Google Cloud NAT:**

I have gained much experience in learning and integrating its features and usefulness while sharing information with others. This has helped me in my research endeavours particularly in the academic realms and transfer of documents in my projects. I implore others to try it and see ts magnificence. I commend it for small scale enterprises in the IT and research industries of developing States in Africa. I mean, why not try it?

**What problems is Google Cloud NAT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problem at the moment. However, I am gaining much experience in learning and integrating its features and usefulness while sharing information with others. This has helped me in my research endeavours particularly in the academic realms.
