"Google Artifact Registry: A Comprehensive Solution for Artifact Management"
What do you like best about Google Artifact Registry?

Artifact Registry is a Google-produced service to store and manage the artifacts that came out of the build, including container images and language packages. It has a really simple and user-friendly interface, so it's very easy to use, besides it has really good documentation that helps in the implementation process. It supports Universal Artifact Management and can also make good use of a variety of container images and packages. Because it is indirectly backed by Google's infrastructure, the artifacts are always available and accessible, so it's quite scalable and reliable. This also means very good integration with Google Cloud, which makes it very easy to incorporate artifacts into existing workflows. Since this is quite easy, we can use this product frequently for a large number of projects. The customer service is very nice, and users and developers form an active community that is always ready to help. This is a great product, and I highly recommend it. What do you dislike about Google Artifact Registry?

For some, the cost of storage can be a little pricey. Since this is still in beta, some bugs or limitations may be associated with it at this point. It may also not work with some third-party tools or services. Other than that, this is a really great product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's like having a well-coordinated team where everyone understands each other perfectly.

Additionally, the scalability of the Artifact Registry is impressive. Whether you're dealing with a small project or a large-scale application, the system handles it with finesse. The ability to store and manage various artifact types, from container images to Maven and npm packages, provides a unified solution for diverse development needs. What do you dislike about Google Artifact Registry?

One thing that I find a bit challenging with Google Artifact Registry is the learning curve, especially for users who are new to this kind of tool. Navigating through the features and understanding the setup might take some time. It would be great if the onboarding process could be more intuitive for beginners. "Google Artifact Registry - Pros and Cons"
What do you like best about Google Artifact Registry?

Since it is a google native cloud resource which is used to store and manage project artifacts which can be either container images or build artifacts and project dependencies. We can create separate repositories for different kind of projects under one private registry for our enterprise application. we can integrate this with different google cloud resources such as Continuous Integration Build and Run, Google Kubernetes Engine by configuring required IAM permissions and roles which can be frequently used for your diffrent server environments. We can also save our Kubeflow pipeline templates in artifact registry which can be then used to build and deploy Machine Learning pipeline workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Artifact Registry?

It supports only minimum type of artifacts for projects such as Java, Node.js and Python and doesn't support a universal package manager which can be used for any type of project and build artifact. Also there is not much documentation available to read and learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifying Artifact Management for Cloud Workflows"
What do you like best about Google Artifact Registry?

I have been using Google artifact registry past few years As a user, one of the key aspects I appreciate about Google Artifact Registry is its seamless integration with Google Cloud Platform. The ease of use and the simplicity in storing and managing artifacts, such as Docker container images and Maven packages, within the cloud environment is remarkable. The robust versioning and metadata management make it efficient to track changes and understand the history of artifacts, ensuring reliability and security in deployment processes. Additionally, the scalability and fast access to artifacts contribute to a smooth development and deployment workflow, which is highly beneficial for our team's efficiency and project success.

Scalability : I can tell the platform allowing easy expansion of artifact storage as per the organizations growing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Artifact Registry?

I have faced some challenges when i use artifact registry is access control and permission. While the platform offers security features, the setup for fine-grained access control could be more user-friendly. Sometimes, configuring specific permissions for different users or teams within the registry can feel a bit intricate, especially for those new to the system. Simplifying and streamlining the process for managing access rights might enhance the user experience and make it more accessible for a wider range of users within the organization.
