I actually found the experience of being laid off not so bad. The person that I worked with was humble and knowledgeable, and tried to help. They would admit when they didn't know something and would take the initiative to find out the answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't like them enough to continue or expand the partnership. I would encourage them to be more thoughtful before they respond and to research things, having some basic competence in what they're talking about before they say something. I had issues with my pension when I first started because they didn't realize that I was supposed to have a pension as part of migration rules. They argued with me about the pension, tried to cut it, and attempted to charge a fee that was never disclosed to me. They threatened deportation for not accepting a contract addendum to rectify their mistakes and bad faith contract. Despite pointing it out, they didn't change the contract to reveal the fee, which was insane. I also had arguments with them about reimbursements because they didn't understand the tax rules in my country, leading to a fight over reimbursing calls to my customer, which actually should have been reimbursed.
