## GitHub Inc. Reviews
 ### 1. GitHub: The Industry Standard for Version Control and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAVI R. | Software Engineer-Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

What I like best about GitHub is its ability to streamline software development and collaboration. It provides a centralized platform for version control, code reviews, issue tracking, and project management, making it easier for teams to work efficiently. The strong developer community, extensive integrations, and continuous innovation in areas such as CI/CD, security, and AI-assisted coding tools make GitHub an essential platform for developers and organizations of all sizes.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

One area where GitHub could improve is pricing for some advanced enterprise features, which can be costly for smaller organizations. Additionally, managing permissions and repository settings can sometimes be complex for new users. While GitHub offers extensive functionality, the learning curve for some advanced features may require additional documentation and training.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub solves the challenges of code version control, team collaboration, and software development workflow management. It enables developers to track changes, collaborate efficiently across distributed teams, automate development processes, and maintain code quality through reviews and integrations. These capabilities help me improve productivity, streamline development workflows, reduce deployment risks, and deliver projects more efficiently.

 ### 2. Rich Coding Ecosystem and Familiar Git Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bas W. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

The richest ecosystem in the world in terms of coding. The vast majority of our team members are familiar with Git workflows and the Github interface that's on top of it.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

Several useful features are behind a team paywall. It is sometimes cumbersome to isolate a users default profile from company information, as most join with a personal profile or are required to create an entirely new one.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Github allows our global remote team to easily work together in all codebases. We're able to invite external consultants or work with cross-company repositories with ease. Github, being the biggest source code control software provider, has a variety of integrations with leading cloud providers and other SaaS companies allowing easy CI/CD pipelines and other features which speed up our development workflows.

 ### 3. Reliable, Well-Organized Code Management That Makes Collaboration Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam P. | Laravel Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

What I like most about GitHub is how reliable and well organized it is for managing code. Pushing and pulling changes, working with branches, and reviewing code through pull requests all feel smooth and structured. It makes collaboration easy and keeps the entire development history transparent and accessible.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

Some advanced features and settings can feel a bit overwhelming for new users at first. However, this mainly comes from how powerful and feature-rich the platform is. Once you become familiar with it, the workflow becomes very efficient and easy to manage.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pick it Up solves the challenge of managing code collaboration in a team environment. It provides a centralized place for tracking version control chains and handling peer code reviews. For me, that means fewer merge conflicts, better code quality, and clear visibility into changes, which leads to smoother collaboration when multiple developers are working on the same project. It also helps maintain a proper history of updates, making debugging and tracking changes much easier.

 ### 4. Easy, Fast, and Packed with Integrations—A DevOps Must-Have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** yuvraj t. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

Easy access to code, bugs, PRs, and contributions from different DevOps teams.

Easy to use UI/UX, and has never ending integrations with other industry standard tools (everything you can think of, and even with so many features and integrations the performance is amazing. Considering the pricing for a startup it is almost nothing for the feature it offers.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

Nothing, I love the product so very much.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Github helps us keep tracks of issues that were identified in the system, and what we did to fix it, along with where the fix is at, when it will be deployed to next channel, etc.

 ### 5. Industry-Standard and Easy to Use: Git and Github

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed T. | Contributor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

I absolutely love their products and use them everyday. Specifically Git anx Github. They are industry standard products and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

The products may not be user friendly, so they should have some official video guides on how to use them.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are absolutely useful in and required to use in my daily workflow of software development. Biggest use would be to allow me and my coworkers to share a code base and work on projects together

 ### 6. More Than Just Git: The Complete DevSecOps Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brallan G. | SRE & DevOps Engineer, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

It's no longer just a code repository; it's a complete developer platform. I love how GitHub Actions seamlessly integrates CI/CD right next to the code, eliminating the need for external build servers. Adding features like Copilot and Dependabot means we have coding assistance, security scanning, and automation all in one unified ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

The pricing structure for advanced features can get steep. While the core product is great, features like 'GitHub Advanced Security' and 'Codespaces' are billed as separate, expensive add-ons. For a mid-sized organization, managing these fragmented costs and forecasting the bill for CI/CD minutes can be a complex headache.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves tool fragmentation and security visibility. By consolidating version control, CI/CD, and security scanning (via Dependabot) in one platform, we have a unified view of our software supply chain. The benefit is that security becomes automated and proactive, rather than a bottleneck at the end of the development cycle.

 ### 7. Convenient Version Control Anywhere with GitHub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William M. | Software Development Intern (Project-Based), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

GitHub lets me push, pull, create branches, and manage different versions of my software. I can access it through the mobile app or the web app, which makes it convenient to use wherever I am.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

The fact that Copilot only uses 80GB of RAM bothers me. Alexa Plus uses 96GB, and Grok uses 128GB.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a great hub that a team or corporation can access, helping keep everyone on the same page.

 ### 8. Industry-Standard Collaboration Made Easy with Code Reviews and Pull Requests

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naph P. | Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

As the industry standard for collaboration it does not disappoint. I like how it makes it easy for teams to collaborate by integrating code reviews and pull requests.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

I don't like the fact that it has a repository size limit and while public repositories are free, advanced features and some security tools require payment.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The easy and remote collaboration allows team members to track projects and suggest improvements.

 ### 9. GitHub: Easy, Widely Used Repo Hosting We Rely on Every Day

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil D. | Software Development in Test, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

Github is the best and widely used for the repo hosting. Our company has implemented and integrated a lot of its project on Github. It is fairy very easy to use with the commands or through extensions in the IDE. I am using Github almost everyday in my task. Have not used customer support at all as there was never a need for that

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

The only drawback I face when using GitHub is with the revert option which can be a bit more controlled as I cannot check or change what all I need to revert if I push the code to the repo and have to discard all the changes to last commit

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Github is being used for hosting the project repositories for the client that we work with and is the safest option for our company and we have been using the Github services for many years now.

 ### 10. Seamless Remote Collaboration and Easy Deployments with GitHub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan S. | Web Development Head, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GitHub Inc.?**

The best thing is we can collaborate with anyone even if they are far away.
We can push the changes or pull the changes that are made by the other person which makes it very useful. We can also deploy our websites and host it using GitHub deployments.

**What do you dislike about GitHub Inc.?**

So far, I haven’t found anything bad about GitHub. I’ve been using it for the past 6 years, and my experience has been consistently positive.

**What problems is GitHub Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem is collaboration with other people, especially in coding and development. When a lot of people are working on the same project, we need to be fully updated on the changes made by others.
