GeneXus generates software. It allows you to design, develop, maintain and extend your business application much easier and faster, in a higher quality and more flexibility, from the scratch up to complex applications. It makes the most for you and if it's necessary you can extend it with your own code. You can develop with the same environment software for web and smart devices. GeneXus is another approach to develop software as you may know. Clear your mind, use the tutorials, the wiki and if necessary, the great training and support of the manufacturer and one of his partners. What problems is GeneXus solving and how is that benefiting you?

We developed in a very short time with a small team a complete business application for bakeries with ERP and administrative functionalities with web and mobile apps. It includes modules for order, delivery, production planning, invoice, stock control, purchase, shop management and controlling, product calculation, statistics, EDI handling and interfaces over web services.

What do you like best about GeneXus?

The best thing is that you can learn quickly how the language of genexus, since it simplifies many things that in others you would have to do from scratch, since it generates a lot of code for connections, web pages, android applications, etc.

What do you dislike about GeneXus?

What I do not like is that its simplicity can also be its weakness, since it does not support everything, that is to say that the customization is very restrictive due to the typecasting of some parts of the generator and if there are very complex genexus projects, it becomes somewhat unstable

How do you recommend it, if it is possible to refresh your knowledge with courses that genexus teach, if the company allows you to take a paid course, accept it since many things are not seen in the free course.

Just because GeneXus lacks presence in the US, don't think that it isn't an outstanding development environment. We have proven the capabilities of the product for over 20 years.
