Gavelist Reviews & Product Details

Gavelist is AI auction cataloging software that turns estate sale and auction photos into publication-ready lot descriptions in minutes. Upload photos in bulk, and Gavelist's AI analyzes every angle of every lot, identifies items across 18 specialized domains, and writes catalog-grade descriptions matched to your house voice — then exports directly to the auction platform you already use. What separates Gavelist from generic AI listing tools is a per-client intelligence layer. Gavelist builds a dedicated profile for each auction house, learning from every edit you make — terminology preferences, pricing patterns, description style, category-specific formatting. That profile applies automatically to your next catalog. Edit rates drop with each sale, with a design target of near-zero manual corrections on general-goods lots by the third or fourth auction. Higher-complexity categories like fine art, jewelry, and antique furniture carry a 5–25% residual edit rate depending on item specificity. The system gets better because it's learning your operation, not just improving a generic model. Gavelist is platform-independent. A single catalog exports cleanly to every major auction marketplace: HiBid, Proxibid, AuctionZip, LiveAuctioneers, AuctionFlex (including AuctionFlex 360), BidWrangler, AuctionMethod, and Wavebid, plus universal CSV and XLS for any platform not on the list. Integrations with eBay, Whatnot, EstateSales.net, and Shopify are in development. Auction houses that sell across multiple platforms catalog once and publish everywhere — no re-keying, no copy-pasting between systems, no locking your catalog data to a single marketplace. The workflow is built for how professional auctioneers actually operate. Photograph an entire estate in one session, bulk-upload hundreds of photos, and EXIF metadata automatically sorts images into lot groups. Six concurrent AI workers process 300+ lots in under 10 minutes. The interface is desktop-first and batch-oriented — designed for catalogers working through full estates, not individual item listings on a phone. Gavelist cuts lot description time by 80–90% compared to manual cataloging. Gavelist serves estate auctioneers, consignment auction houses, commercial liquidation firms, and charity auction coordinators. Its 18 domain-specific AI models cover furniture, jewelry, fine art, ceramics, glassware, tools, collectibles, vintage electronics, toys, textiles, kitchenware, sporting goods, musical instruments, books, coins, stamps, vehicles, and general merchandise. Pricing starts at $0.15 per lot with no monthly commitment. Monthly plans range from $79/month for 1,000 lots to $250/month for 5,000 lots, with overages at $0.09 per lot. Every plan includes every feature.
