"Great for Idea Sharing, Needs Better Filtering"
4/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

I use Foreplay for pitching ideas to clients for their Meta Ads and for getting inspiration when I'm not feeling creative. I find it handy to send messages to the Foreplay IG account to save inspiration. I also appreciate being able to share ideas with clients easily and seeing what our competitors are up to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

The search features sometimes don't like stacking filters, so sometimes its hard to find what im looking for. It would be good to hide specific advertisers who I'm sick of seeing their ads all the time in Foreplay too, as some advertisers dominate the feed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Chrome Extension That Saves Meta Ad Library Ads in One Click—and Hours of Work"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

What I love most is the Chrome extension. Being able to save ads from the Meta Ad Library with one click before they get deleted or expire is a lifesaver. No more dead links or chaotic desktop screenshots. It makes competitor research actually organized and saves me hours of manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

Honestly, the price is a bit steep compared to simpler ad savers, especially if you're just starting out. Also, the search filters can sometimes feel a bit clunky or lag when you're digging through massive backlogs of ads. But honestly, for the time it saves you, it's still worth it. "Streamlined Competitor Analysis with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

I appreciate Foreplay for its easy use and clear interface, which makes it very user-friendly. It effectively streamlines the process of looking through multiple competitors by providing direct insights without taking too long. I also like that it offers multiple options for change, making it versatile. The platform's metrics are great, and I find the UI/UX to be clear and easy to navigate. What do you dislike about Foreplay?

I don't like that the trial used to be free for a couple of days, but now you have to put your card to use it, which I feel may deter new customers. The initial setup was easy, but the requirement of a card now makes it a bit sad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Foreplay: A Competitor Monitoring Game-Changer"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

I really like Foreplay for its great features that let me lock onto competitors and follow everything they launch weekly, which is very nice. The API feature is a game-changer for me. It helps me stay updated on competitor moves and adapt my strategies accordingly. I can also see their new creatives and learn from their successes and failures, which is extremely useful to optimize my own ad concepts and strategies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

I feel like the discovery could have more features, in terms of ads style, ads category, ads purpose. Back in the days, I couldn't find features as granular as on Altria. For example, on Altria, as soon as you follow a brand, you can see all of the landing pages, which is maybe a bit different than ads, but it's still good to know about. I'm not sure if Foreplay is as granular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Competitor Research with Foreplay"
5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

I use Foreplay for creatives and competitor research, and I like the Spyder feature because it makes comp research very straightforward and easy to organize. Unlike other apps like ShopHunter, it’s the easiest for comp research. The initial setup was very easy for me; I signed up and got 50% off my first month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

There are no blaring inconveniences about the app. It is very say to use, navigate, and operate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Foreplay is simply a must-have for creative teams"
5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

1. Product UX. Overall, the Foreplay product is super easy to understand and navigate across. Our team is able to get our work done extremely fast and easily, whether it's searching and bookmarking ads across a certain industry, or reviewing our own swipe file.

2. Smart. Foreplay provides all of the searching, sorting, and filtering of ads that our creative team needs, without any clutter.

2. Affordable. Similar tools on the market cost up to 5x or more for nearly the exact same functionality. Foreplay is a no-brainer in that sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

Nothing as of yet. In the future, hopefully Foreplay adds new ad platforms like YouTube ads (Google Ads), Reddit ads, and more, which would make the product even more valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So, Should You Actually Use Foreplay? (The Ad Tool, I Mean)"
4/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

Yes. If you make a lot of social media ads for a living and you're tired of living in spreadsheet hell, just get it. It saves a ridiculous amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

It costs money. This isn't a free tool. If you only run an ad once a month, it's probably overkill.

It's mostly for social ads. If you live in the world of Google Search ads, this won't be as useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Ad Creative Discovery"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

I really appreciate how Foreplay is excellent for creative inspirations, especially when it comes to finding winning ad creatives. The capability to sort through millions of ad creatives is something that stands out to me as it enhances efficiency and allows me to discover effective content rapidly. Additionally, the discovery features within Foreplay are incredibly valuable as they facilitate uncovering fresh and innovative ideas which keep my work dynamic and relevant. The initial setup was very easy, which made the transition to using Foreplay smooth and hassle-free. Overall, the ease of use and powerful tools for managing and creating compelling ad content make Foreplay a valuable asset in my creative toolkit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

The 'brief' feature in Foreplay does not work as well for me, and I see room for improvement in that area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Foreplay is not just “nice to have” – it’s a must-have"
5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

We’ve been using Foreplay in our agency for years, and it has become an absolutely essential tool in our daily workflow. What we love most is how intuitive it is for saving and organizing ideas – it’s like our creative brain outside of our heads.

Over time, Foreplay has grown into our internal Creative Library, where we store inspiration, ad examples, and campaign concepts in a way that’s easy to revisit and build upon. It keeps our entire team aligned, ensures no great idea ever gets lost, and has massively streamlined our creative process.

If you’re running a marketing or creative team, Foreplay is not just “nice to have” – it’s a must-have. It makes idea management simple, collaborative, and scalable. Honestly, we can’t imagine working without it anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Foreplay?

“The only minor downside is that the Chrome extension for pulling creatives from the Meta Ad Library occasionally stops working for a few minutes, but it’s never a big issue.” Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool for Creative Strategists"
5/5
What do you like best about Foreplay?

As a creative strategist, I use Foreplay for finding inspiration for new creative formats and checking top ads from other brands. It's great for storing everything and staying organized. Before, we used to save Facebook ad links or screenshots, which would often get lost or go inactive, but now with Foreplay, everything stays forever. I really like its visual nature. What do you dislike about Foreplay?

I haven't had much luck with the briefing yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
