I especially like the fact that you can create your eTMF structure within MS Excel and import it into the system. The more recent eLogs feature is also a great addition. **What do you dislike about Florence eBinders?** There are a few quality-of-life changes and minor issues within the system that need to be implemented or addressed, but the customer support and communication is really great with Florence, so I know they are working on fixing those issues. Working at a large cancer center, we have so many departments I sometimes lose track of who's who. Clinical trials are quite complex as setting them up to closing them requires hundreds of different people in numerous steps of the way. Florence makes it easy for everyone by allowing a great storage solution. Having all the documents related to each trial in one place allows anyone accessing Florence to get to what they need quickly. The customization and easily editable folders allow for quick personalization and is truly useful to me as I look for certain regulatory items regarding each trial. I would recommend Florence to anyone needing an organized space that would be shared by all levels of employees. **What do you dislike about Florence eBinders?** I don't dislike anything about Florence in particular. I believe this is how our team set the folders up, but a more accurate way of searching for trial numbers would be nice. Sometimes I am looking for a specific trial, but pull a record from an incorrect one as it has some document with the same number involved in some area. I would add a couple items in the future though: a way to easily bookmark certain pages/folders, a way to message or request who uploaded a document or created a folder to add a missing item, and I'm not sure if this is on their end, but allow to go back a page more easily. **What problems is Florence eBinders solving and how is that benefiting you?** Florence has improved communication and the efficiency of multiple departments with time-savings through utilizing this shared space. The folders are easily accessible through the search feature which also makes it quite efficient when attempting to sort through various folders within the institution. It's great to be able to zip large folders together for offline work, and also great to have a section that shows the history of your downloads so you can keep track of your own audit trail. **What do you dislike about Florence eBinders?** I dislike how files and folders download in Microsoft Edge. It almost feels like a double download as compared to Chrome where it downloads straight to the correct folder I have allocated. I also dislike that I am unable to copy from the document that I am viewing but instead have to download the file. If it was possible, I think copying capabilities within the Florence platform would help when citing certain documents and remove the process of having to download additional documents just to copy and paste into a different document. **Recommendations to others considering Florence eBinders:** The interface is exceptionally easy to use and train on. I had next to no training when accessing Florence for the first time and it was completely hasslefree. Customer Service is prompt, friendly and updates to the platform are quick. The company definitely listens to customer feedback and tries to deliver. **What problems is Florence eBinders solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform allows for all the teams to collaborate more efficiently by allowing access to pertinent files/folders for audit purposes. It also allows us to review/view documents that would otherwise be hard to retrieve due to internal access restrictions on specific department folders. It also allows us to have another safe place to harbour all the necessary documents and have a great audit trail to determine when specific items have been uploaded or updated. ### 9. Florence is pretty easy to learn but could be more user friendly in some features **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021 **What do you like best about Florence eBinders?** Source docs can be easily organized by categories and readily available when needed to access them from electronic side and less loose papers to shuffle through We use many features/tools offered in this platform- the log templates, storing source docs, consents, lab results, etc. **What do you dislike about Florence eBinders?** the logs are not very user friendly.... you cannot see all the rows and columns at once like in a bigger window.. instead you have to scroll from side to side to see what the other columns are and to see the whole picture ...gets time-consuming at times, and also more room for error if you click on the wrong row to edit so it makes it more important to always triple check all entries before submitting (take excel for example, you can easily zoom in or out to see all the columns in one window) also regarding logs-you cannot see more than 2-4 short words in each column entry just by viewing it, you have to choose the edit option to be able to see what other words are written within that one box column or you have to download the whole log to see what all the words are in each column also on creating log templates, the original creator(s) of a specific log cannot lock it so that someone else afterward does not accidentally change some of the columns or entries in the logs.... -we like that other team members can easily share each others logs and be able to use in their studies if that log was very well created and on point with what they need for their research study.. -we do not feel comfortable that the original creator(s) cannot lock it so that accidental changes don't happen (at least there is an audit button to see who was in there last if something looks different) but would be better if other people had read-only rights to it if they are looking at examples of how other people created their logs to help them develop their own if needed. **What problems is Florence eBinders solving and how is that benefiting you?** Source docs can be easily organized by categories and readily available when needed to access them from electronic side and less loose papers to shuffle through or have chances of losing ### 10. It makes finding the documents I need easier. It also makes it easier to find a specific tab I need within the ISF **What do you dislike about Florence eBinders?** I don't like the additional effort that comes with scanning and uploading to the ISF - Especially when I need to keep those wet-ink documents on hand anyway. I end up with 2 ISFs to manage. I'm also not a fan of the fact that if I uplaod something incorrect, I have to go through the work of explaining why I'm deleting the file as opposed to a paper ISF where I can just move it to the correct location. **What problems is Florence eBinders solving and how is that benefiting you?** As of yet I have not been solving any problems with eBinders. Our site was very content to use a paper ISF but that option was not allowed for the study we joined. Downloading signed documents is tedious. Due to the volume of trials we have, it would be nice if there were a "search" function so we didn't have to click through each file individually to get to our desired box. Same thing with dropping documents and requesting signatures - the multi-document feature is handy, but it still involves lots of clicks before we can actually get to the documents we want to select. I think it would be more helpful if we could filter by "time modified" or something along those lines, that way all the recent documents we dropped would show up, and we could just click on those all at once to get them over to the one responsible for signatures. **What problems is Florence eBinders solving and how is that benefiting you?** No real problems other than what was noted in the dislike box. Benefits are the ability to get signatures from providers no matter where they are. We absolutely need an app though - it would be great for providers to easily sign from their phones and the e-signatures on the browsers end up ruining the documents because of the small screens and slow response times. ### 12.
