FastPass IVM — Automated Workforce Identity Verification for the IT Help Desk IT help desks are the #1 target for social engineering attacks. **What do you like best about FastPass IVM?**

The diversity of user types and help desk activities created significant challenges in maintaining strong and consistent identity verification across our workforce. Now the verification steps are built directly into the workflow, so agent follow a structured and repeatable process every time. everything is properly logged and traceable, which is important for both security and compliance. The alerting signal are very useful in practice

**What do you dislike about FastPass IVM?**

The user interface feels a bit outdated in some areas. it doesn't affect functionality, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of modern look and usability.

**What problems is FastPass IVM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solution help us standardize identity verification within the service desk, making sure every request is handled in a controlled, monitored and auditable way. As a result, we've reduced the risk of social engineering attack and improved overall  consistency in how agent verify users, while still keeping the process efficient.

Essential for our services desk to validate all callers, both internal and external users. we initially replicated our existing processes within the system, and over time transitioned seamlessly to stronger, more secure verification procedure with more flexible handling. security has significantly improved, and we are especially happy with the threat signals

The default text templates could be improved, although they are customized

A big shout-out to the FastPass IVM Team! We spent over a month implementing a solution to replace our existing IdV process. After two months of operation, we integrated FastPass with our ITSM system and adopted some of the latest proofing features. This integration has significantly enhanced our service, reduced handling time, and improved end-user satisfaction.

Certain integration points have the potential for further refinement and optimization. Enhancing these areas would improve efficiency, security, and overall system interoperability, ensuring a more seamless and robust integration experience. Yet they are few.

Past attempts to exploit the Help Desk by impersonating users and requesting password resets highlight the critical need for robust security measures. The key benefit of IVM is its ability to mitigate social engineering attacks, ensuring that identity verification is handled securely and independently, keeping unauthorized access attempts away from the Help Desk.

**What do you like best about FastPass IVM?**

Shout out to FastPass IVM Team, First we worked over 1 month to implement a solution replacing the current identify verification process. After having been operation for 2 month, we integrated with ITSM system and implemented some of the newer proofing items, this step significantly enhanced service, reduced handling time and also improved end-user and agent satisfaction.

We searched extensively for a solution like this, but no other product matched its capabilities. The integration with our ITSM system was crucial, and the flexibility IVM offers in handling diverse scenarios stood out. It ensures we remain compliant while effectively alerting Service Desk Agents to any suspicious activity, making it both a reliable and proactive solution for our needs.

Missing SSO for  AD, it is there for Entra so we will get there soon.

Secures the Service Desk from social engineers, making an audit trail of proofing - use for the SSPR as well.

Plus, the platform is intuitive and user-friendly for IT staff and end-users.  The streamlined verification process minimizes disruption to workflows.

While there are positive reviews, there aren't many out there. This makes it harder to gauge real-world experiences beyond what the product promotes. The official website doesn't disclose pricing information. This lack of transparency can be a barrier for some businesses.

FastPass IVM verifies user identities before granting access to sensitive information or performing account changes. This significantly reduces the risk of social engineering attacks and unauthorized access attempts.  Knowing that their identities are being verified can give users more confidence when interacting with the IT help desk. Through FastPass IVM,  it helped our organization meet regulatory compliance requirements related to data security and access control.

**What do you like best about FastPass IVM?**

IVM really keeps the process adhering to strict rules, yet gives a number of options for the Help Desk Agent. Depending on the user and the operation in progress, we have different processes for validating the user's identity. FastPass does this quickly and adds a completed audit trail to the ticket automatically.

As there are so many option it is also a bit tricky to lear how it operates
