The overall experience with F5 distributed is excellent, The API plays a major role in F5, It manages F5’s cloud-based services, mainly cloud-native application security, load balancing, and multi-cloud networking.

I use this is in a daily basis.

The documentation provided is not clear and makes difficult to understand.

Costing is high.

It is very hard to understand the concepts.

APIs have direct access to the company's critical data and must be secured. In our environment too many applications are hosted and sometimes without our knowledge API functionalities and used without protection, in this case, the asset discovery feature in F5 helps us mitigate this. What do you like best about F5 Distributed Cloud API Security?

I like lot of features and solutions provided by F5 distributed cloud API Security system. Such as scalability and protection.

It offers great security solutions againsts various cyber threats, including DDoS attacks, API abuse or data breaches.

One good thing it offers, is very easy/user friendly authentication, encryption techniques.

Visibility and monitoring of API traffic and behavior is also a likable feature of this software.

Customer support is decent.

We gave preference to use F5 products over other authentication (for example microsoft authenticator), because of it's benefits and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about F5 Distributed Cloud API Security?

Some of things can be improved including complexity and learning curve.

Setup and configuration process of it looks tedious or complex, specially if you don't have enough knowledge in cloud security or API management.

This is considered as steep learning curve for a person who is not familiar with F5's products. Training and skill development is must needed to fully understand it's capabilities or features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is F5 Distributed Cloud API Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most important problem solved by F5 API security is protection against cyber threats, scalability and visibility and monitoring.

This secures my APIs from cyber threats such as DDoS attacks, data breaches, API hack. By mitigating these threats, it helps me in safeguarding my sensitive data.

It is benefitting me in Security , encryption and authentication purpose of my project or work.

Finally F5 distributed cloud API security helps in enhancing security perspective, improve operational efficiency and remove risks very effectively.

There is reliability issue with the SAAS infra. I have seen many instances of glitches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The major problem industry is facing currently is the hybrid infrascture. In which something is on cloud, something is on Prem and there are 3rd party facilities as well. The F5 distributed cloud can connect to al these and gives single console for managing api security, WAF and bot protection. With the benefits of load balancing and related features.
