What do you like best about Evolve Security?

The Darwin platform for tracking the lifecycle of vulnerabilities they find is top notch. Very simple to use and produces great penetration testing reports to use for compliance activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Evolve Security?

All things considered there is very little to dislike about Evolve Security. For some people price could be a concern, but it really depends on how open ended your scope may be. If you control your scope this really isn't a problem. You have to be realistic with what you ask. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Evolve Security:

You can quickly tell that Evolve Security has significant experience in penetration testing. They do it and they do it well. You can tell that the engineers that perform the testing have that right mindset to get the most out of the engagement. They are leveraging vulnerabilities that you would see malicious entities would use in the wild. Many providers just run Nessus and give you the results of that in some digested form. They take those same types of scans as a starting point but then put the human knowledge into how to chain that together into a compromise. We went from a provider that just placated us and said we were doing good, to one that actually pointed out real flaws. It is very refreshing to find real problems to fix. What problems is Evolve Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had been using another provider for pentesting for the last three years. After a GLBA assessment it was determined that what we had been paying for did not technically meet the definition of penetration testing. Evolve quoted us for their penetration testing services and we went with them. Their first pentest found vulnerabilities that the previous provider never reported to us in the three years we used them. It was a total night and day difference.
