Ekotrope benefits from a robust API, batch exporting, and the ability to specify which version of the app you want to use by project. The software is fast and RESNET registration is relatively painless. One can also export project information without an additional fee (fees are assessed based on ratings) to do so. Ekotrope also is constantly working on improving the software, surveying users annually and also regularly giving webinars about what they're working on. Customer support usually responds quickly and they listen to their customers. They also communicate changes to their software to their customers in a reasonable way. Ekotrope doesn't let one customize batch exports to pull fields that might not be covered. Some newer features are paywalled. It's also web-based, which can be a pro (no need to store files) and a con (no access if offline). Some batch updates to projects require having Ekotrope do them (HVAC, for example). Libraries can get overly cluttered, and I feel there could be better tools to address that. The search functionality could be improved a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
