The development became much simpler after we switched to e4 . The Eclipse RAP has this possibility too. You can write your application entirely in Java. If you are familiar with SWT/JFace/OSGi ecosystem from RCP that is the same for RAP with some additions. The visual editor for UI is free, and here are free add-ons too. **What do you dislike about Eclipse RAP?** There is not too much and detailed documentation about e4, and some are outdated too. You have dig the Internet for information on e4. Uneasy to build the final product. (war) **What problems is Eclipse RAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** The transition from RCP Desktop Application to Web application was a piece of cake and we've done it in a small amount of time. ### 3. On Linux, it relies on Gtk+ (although it's also possible to use Motif), which in my experience (and other's) has performance problems **Recommendations to others considering Eclipse RAP:** Please consider using the software it is great, It is far better than other software in the market such as QT **What problems is Eclipse RAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It supports both windows based applications and Web. ### 6.
