I appreciate that it’s self-hosted and GDPR-friendly, which gives us full control over our customer data, crucial for our B2B operations in Germany. The interface is simple and straightforward, allowing our team to create campaigns, manage lists, and set up automations without a steep learning curve. One of the main drawbacks is that because it’s self-hosted, we have to handle more technical maintenance ourselves—like updates, server monitoring, and occasional deliverability tuning—compared to fully managed email tools. That means we occasionally need IT support for issues that would be automatic on SaaS platforms. Here are the specific improvements we need: Managed hosting option: A fully hosted, SaaS-style version would eliminate all server maintenance. We’d happily pay a little more to avoid self-hosting headaches. One-click updates & automatic upgrades: Right now, updates can be technical and risky. We want safe, one-click updates for the application, plugins, and dependencies—no manual file uploads or code work. Proactive monitoring & deliverability alerts: We need built-in alerts for issues like sudden drops in delivery or open rates, IP reputation changes, and server or database problems. Right now, we often only discover issues after they’ve already affected campaigns. The initial setup of EasySendy Pro was functional but definitely more technical than fully hosted email marketing tools. Since it’s self-hosted, we had to set up the server, install the script, configure the database, connect Amazon SES, and adjust delivery and security settings ourselves.
