The best thing about Microsoft Azure services is creating Virtual machines, automation, backing up the full image or the server and being able to restore the full server or at the file level on any day I need. The infrastructure is (mostly) rock solid and don't have to worry as much as I do with my local data centre and local hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some simple tasks that are easily done locally can be frustrating as you don't have full control over Azure resourcing. For example, Our VMware local servers we can just add say 4GB extra memory, with Azure you have to select a pre-config server which also doubles the CPU, changes the size of the disk and changes the prices accordingly. Another annoyance is still things still/are unfinished and don't get you full access. Also, we have several servers in classic mode, which (now) is expiring in Sept 2023. The migration tool doesn't work (we had a couple of MS engineers working on this too). So now we have to move eight complex servers over to a new ARM Server setup, setting up everything manually and losing our external IP's which one is our main mail server. So giving us 3-4 months of extra work migrating 12 domains and thousands of mailboxes and configurations on 170 application servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
