What do you like best about diskdeleter?

DiskDeleter is the lowest cost and a very efficient disk wipe tool.

DiskDeleter is effectively software purchase. For high volume use, the lowest costs.

With USB boot, no need to install. Our work effectively ends in a few minutes per device and we can pull out the USB and move on to a next device. Wipe operation runs through its course on its own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The program license is tied to a USB memory serial number and requires an initial set up. Mostly program downlead time, but still it take about a half an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about diskdeleter?

As IT Manager in one of the Fashion Clothing company in USA, I used DiskDeleter to recycle and repurpose the IT assets. I chose this product due to our requirement of continuous requirements of safeguarding data when we provide our laptops and computers to new employees and business partners. We normally use Solid State drives and we are audited regularly so we have to provide the documents of safeguarding the data during disposal of our assets and also during repurpose.

DiskDeleter is very cost effective due to its flexibility of unlimited uses. Also I like it’s support of all type of devices including SSD which we were looking for.

The popularity of SSD(Solid State Drive) PC is growing in our organization due to speed and high performance. As the number of SSD PCs in use has grown, so too has the need to sanitize SSD data. Returning or disposing a SSD PC without wiping its SSD could lead to data leakage. By using DiskDeleter its very easy to wipe the SSD as it’s make sure at each instance it generates certificate of data sanitization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering diskdeleter:

If you are looking for a disk wiping product which is easy to install and use then I will highly recommend DiskDeleter.

It’s use on multiple systems helped us in reducing the license cost. Also due to regulatory requirements each devices which are wiped need to have a document for the auditors. The tamper proof certificate helped us to meet that requirements from auditors.

Also, if you are looking data erasure product for SSD, you need to consider the fact that since SSDs use flash memory to store data, there are some challenges which software should take care. Flash memories are divided into pages and blocks. Normal deletion program operations which apply to pages and can only change 1s to 0s. Erase operations apply to blocks and set all the bits in a block to 1. As a result, in-place update is not possible. DiskDeleter software ensures data is removed from each block. DiskDeleter has saved wipe costs significantly. We purchased few devices for each of our branch offices and we were using as needed. So investment was initial purchase cost only, which freed us from uncertain cost estimates and cost overrun.

Software is very easy to use and our branch office staff was able to run this without additional training. Effectively a few minutes of work per device wipe needed. We looked many software for our SSD wipe needs and we found this as best. DiskDeleter’s feature providing detailed log and certificate which can be saved on external drive was big plus.
