DESelect enables marketers to optimize their campaign's personalization by creating segments without dependency on third-party consultants, the IT department, technical marketers, FTP programs, or Excel. DESelect allows marketers to save time to focus on value-adding activities. Key functionality: - Drag-and-drop interface to easily select data extensions and fields, create relations between data extensions, add filters and define the fields in your results - Build complex segmentations in a user-friendly UI - Automatically create the target data extension to which the results will be written - Preview the results of your segmentation, and get a view on the total number of results before sending out the campaign ## DESelect Reviews ### 1. It has allowed us to enable less technically-inclined individuals to create customer segments without having to get technical resources involved. They also have a great on-boarding team and support staff in case you run into any issues. **What do you dislike about DESelect?** DESelect has a bit of learning curve due to the many features and functionalities contained within the software. **What problems is DESelect solving and how is that benefiting you?** DESelect allowed us to move away from a legacy list segmentation tool to directly segmenting customer lists within Marketing Cloud in a similar drag-and-drop model. ### 2. It simplifies SQL queries with its user-friendly interface and allows us to perform tasks that cannot be actioned with out-of-the-box Marketing Cloud. Additionally, the support provided when we have questions is unlike any other software provider I have worked with. They are quick to answer and more importantly, always on hand to provide solutions. **What do you dislike about DESelect?** The limitations of DESelect are unfortunately ones imposed by Marketing Cloud/Salesforce. You can see that DESelect has further potential but the restrictions put in place mean it is currently as perfect as it can be. **What problems is DESelect solving and how is that benefiting you?** DESelect allows us to find relationships between all our objects and fields with such ease that even our Salesforce Administrators ask us to run queries for them. ### 3. It is so easy to navigate and super easy to use with its plug and play features. I absolutely love the schedule for refreshes. The people at DESelect are first class all the way. A great service delivered by great people ... what is not to love? **What do you dislike about DESelect?** If forced to point to a down-side for our users, there was a moderate, initial learning curve for users unfamiliar with the theory behind inner/outer or left/right joins but the team has been so incredibly supportive that it was quickly overcome. **What problems is DESelect solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows marketers to self-serve when creating their audience segments without needing to learn complex SQL language - and it does it brilliantly. Formerly, segments were created by a data team in IT whereas now, that team is freed up to focus on development. ### 5. I use it almost every day and I like the fact it doesn't require a complex code. It also gives more space to work around behavioral data. Forget the old days of querying with SQL. The interface is easy to use and so simple to drag and drop. Forget about complicated automations and data extension updates. **What do you dislike about DESelect?** There is not much to dislike. It replaces the function of having to manually write SQL queries. However, it would be nice if there was a way to import my existing queries and turn them into DeSelect segments. **What problems is DESelect solving and how is that benefiting you?** The need for experienced SQL developers to send email communications in Marketing cloud. The time to understand the drag and drop functionality is significantly shorter than what it would take to teach new employees SQL. ### 8. DESelect team is always very reactive and efficient to solve our issues and adapt the solution to our needs. **What do you dislike about DESelect?** I cannot see anything that I dislike about the tool. **What problems is DESelect solving and how is that benefiting you?** As our data is coming from various different sources, the segmentation of our data for our marketing campaigns used to be a very repetitive and time-consuming task.
