For the most part it's user friendly. I've been using the ITMR4 since 2006. I prefer it over Cargo Wise which I used at another broker temporarily. I love how easy it is to upload databases and to easily find something on your shipment. Descartes has really worked hard to improve the capabilities on the ITMR4 over the years.
