I like that Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite has done a good job keeping up with the trade remedy situation. What do you dislike about Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite? I find it challenging to handle invoices with several (more than 10) part numbers. The system lacks a REST API for third-party integrations, as far as I know, which would really help in uploading lines efficiently instead of manually entering them. The initial setup was rocky, and the onboarding process took quite a bit of time. The lack of convenient, searchable documentation made it necessary to watch videos and query customer service. I find Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite to be a good program for Customs Formality purposes. It's quick in response and supported by a reliable support team of customs brokers who are adept at solving issues in real-time. I also appreciate that it's easy to use and intuitive, plus it offers a good user interface and provides a relatively full suite of services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite? It does not have a PO management system and does not have milestone tracking, or container/awb tracking directly with the SSL and Airlines. This is a serious issue for us that they do not plan to add into their suite of services, but we would certainly pay for if they added this service. We need to have a user interface similar to other full service systems for our customers to interact with in order to provide full visibility. I like Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite for its automation and centralized document management. It saves time and reduces errors in the customs filing process. It's effective in managing and submitting customs entries, ensuring regulatory compliance for imports, and streamlining documentation for shipments. The suite helps reduce manual data entry, improve accuracy, and keep our customs filing process organized and efficient, especially when handling multiple shipments and complex regulations. What do you dislike about Descartes Customs & Compliance Suite? The interface can feel a bit complex and click-heavy, and reporting/customization could be more flexible and user-friendly. The interface requires a lot of clicking between multiple screens to complete a single task, which can slow down high-volume processing. Some fields and functions are not intuitive for new users, so training time is longer than expected. For reporting, I'd like to see more built-in, customizable templates and easier filtering options (by importer, entry type, date range, etc.) without needing advanced configuration or external tools. The system often goes down and can remain down for quite some time which leads to customers of ours becoming angry and causes many delays. That is really my only complaint at the moment.
