Any issues we have with the software is remedied quickly. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a self-reporting portal for at-home COVID testing for schools, they built that for us and enabled us to be the only lab in the state to offer such a thing ### 2. It is a modern LIS (not legacy!). They have excellent customer service. They support a very large array of test types already. They have predictable URLs, making it easy to integrate with from other websites/software. **What do you dislike about Dendi LIS?** The REST API covers the basics, but I wish it had greater search capabilities. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** It completely handles our sample end-to-end management, from ordering to collecting to accessioning to resulting. Also, they don't charge by the user, so our organization is not over-charged because of all our many internal, provider, collector, etc users. ### 4. You will always hear back from them in a timely fashion, often with solution in hand. - Very configurable. The system is well-designed, and most changes that need to be made can be done by the end user. - Product lifecycle is quick. We can request a complex feature update and have it be turned around in a matter of weeks. **What do you dislike about Dendi LIS?** - They avoid building anything bespoke, although that has not been a problem for us as they usually find an optimal solution anyways. - Company is on the younger side, which means the product moves very quickly and users may potentially be confused regarding new changes and updates. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dendi is our solution for laboratory management, operations, and growth. Benefits: - Our turnaround times have drastically decreased compared to previously, as we have incorporated end-to-end automation. In addition, the ease of use makes the workflow for accessioning and resulting much easier. - Patient portal has been instrumental to our operational success. Not having to integrate with a third party makes the workflows so much easier to handle. ### 5. They integrate with all sorts of different parties - billing, EMR, instruments, etc. Their customer support is also top-notch, they can answer just about any question we have without any hassle. **What do you dislike about Dendi LIS?** They move very quickly, and sometimes the constant addition of new features and functionalities causes workflow confusion amongst staff. With that said, I'd rather this than the other way around. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mostly interface-related problems. We have had many issues dealing with multiple parties for instrumentation, for example. Dendi seems to own their solution end-to-end, which makes for a much better outcome. ### 6. With COVID-19, there's been a lot of changes at the lab level. Unlike some of the legacy LIS providers that some of my colleagues have been working with, Dendi LIS was able to quickly turn around necessary functionality and gracefully handle any adverse situations. The built-in provider/patient portals, as well as their API, were also useful when it came to implementing new accounts, as they became a selling point for the lab as well. **What do you dislike about Dendi LIS?** To be quite frank, no real complaints. Does not come with all of the bells and whistles that you may expect from the traditional vendors you run into. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Molecular, toxicology, NGS, PGx, workflows - Instrument automation - Provider/Patient portals - Sales/revenue analytics ### 7. It's been a total pleasure working with the Dendi team - they're knowledgeable, professional, and effective. They are always responsive and are open-minded towards feedback. **What do you dislike about Dendi LIS?** There honestly hasn't been much to dislike. The software tends to be opinionated rather than open-ended, which may be an issue for your lab. **What problems is Dendi LIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to implement a solution rather quickly, and they were more than willing to accommodate as long as I provided a clear scope. They were great at communicating on their end and made expectations extremely clear. On the software end, it was extremely easy to use - the design was also great and made it that much better, especially coming from legacy systems. ### 8. The primary benefit is the guidance around the software component of the lab, which is second to none.
