- A lot of the material in the Learning Hub and help documentation is outdated. Trying to follow the steps is often guesswork as they no longer relate to the current system

- it seems that sharing ideas to the Idea Portal is of no use. There are many great ideas that seem to be simple fixes but have been sitting there for literal years.

I really like Deltek Vantagepoint for its user-friendly interface, especially the dark mode which is great for my eyes. Navigating through different tabs is much easier and it helps reduce my stress levels. I love being able to deep dive into project details, seeing who else in my company has worked on a project, and reaching out to them if necessary. The tracking features are awesome; being able to look myself up and see which projects I've worked on in the past is handy. Access to project budgets helps me stay on track with spending, preventing overspending before it becomes a problem. Also, accessing my timesheet on my phone is indispensable, and this all makes my workflow much smoother. The initial setup was super simple and I can use my credentials from onboarding. I feel that a comprehensive PDF/printout of project details could be very helpful. It'd be a lot of information, but perhaps a compilation of pertinent details like 1) contract, 2) employees involved, 3) client details, 4) projected timeline, and 5) budgets to date would be helpful. Recently converted conversion from other system and implementation was horrendous. Lack of knowledgeable staff, implementor didn't have strong knowledge of system, any customization was incredibly expensive and had a wait time of more than 3 months. I would highly recommend looking at other alternatives as company is not staffed with knowledgable resources to effectively support new clients on their system. Deltek has been pushing forward in innovate and iterate on new technology more quickly. I have appreciated increased transparency on what features and changes are on the horizon before those changes are implemented. The customer ideas portal has been successful in letting users express their needs and wants out of Vantagepoint and is a place where users can interact with each other and the Deltek team. Deltek Vantagepoint still has areas that aren't as flexible or adaptable as our team would like along with the areas that require heavy investment to learn and maintain. The AI agent built into Vantagepoint is not useful. From the shortcomings of what it can do, the way it is inconsistent in responses, and to the length of time it takes to get a reply, I find it faster to bypass the AI tool, using the traditional route to get what I need. I like how Deltek Vantagepoint is hyper-focused on the engineering space and how customizable it is for our work as consulting engineers in the professional services space. It's well designed for tracking progress to ensure accurate revenue recognition and capturing team members' times into the right WBS structures, which is crucial for our projects that have fewer phases and milestones. Its interface is a little dated and not as intuitive. Entering time and entering data requires numerous clicks and oftentimes is cumbersome. As well, it is not always intuitive as to where you might find an approval PO or an invoice approval; they are not all in the approval sector. I like that Vision has been brought into the browser, and that the GUI has been refreshed into a more modern, more engaging tool for our business to use.

The price works well for us, especially since we’ve been on Vision for a long time.

I appreciate Deltek Vantagepoint for its ease of use, which makes it simple for everyone, whether they're engineers, admin staff, accounting staff, or project managers, to enter information as needed. Well, there's a couple things I don't like. Their approval systems for, like, invoices need to be updated so that there's a multi-level approval system. And, I'd also like to see more project planning reports that are more applicable to what we need now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how configurable and customizable Deltek Vantagepoint is. It makes it easy for me to write reports from the database. I think Deltek Vantagepoint could use more robust logging for system administrators, which would really solve a bunch of problems. Also, trace logging on both client and server sides and restoring the relationship with Salesforce and Tableau to bundle Tableau licenses would be beneficial. The initial setup was tricky for us, especially with running the PowerShell file repeatedly because it kept failing.
