Accounting and payroll

I think the integration from payroll to job costing and accounting is really good. I am a payroll user and the helpdesk has assisted us with getting settings correct for the way our CFO wants reporting and has helped lessen any manual work for accounting.

Since I only use it for HR and Payroll, I wish there was more of an HRIS feel and do things like open enrollment through the system and self service availability for the employees. Also being able to gross-up a check would be very helpful.

Payroll was not an option above for purpose. I think the job costing and accounting really benefits the company with financial reporting and forecasting. The integration within the system is great.

I like that when you update in accounts payable, the information seamlessly posts to the contract. It makes it so eash to cost out the job. It's also nice to know that I am using the latest tax tables for the payroll checks.

Deltek ComputerEase is very user friendly. It is very easy to navigate through. Also it's the total package for Accounting, Job Cost, Payroll, etc.

There is not a log in the system to track who made what changes.

They are improving their product constantly which is helping the ease of getting reports quicker on a regular bases.

It's very intuitive and when something isn't clear, the help guide always does the trick. Their online help is wonderful as well.

The biggest downside for me is the need to update often as we have to reach out to IT for this but that could be an isolated issue with our company's controls.

The sytem is comparable to other construction and other accounting module type sofware systems, yet still falls within a very reasonable price range.

Could still use some upticks in search features, such as pick lists in payroll, live, available help, (no system has that),

greater flexiblity in creating reports.

The platform is well designed, simple and easy to understand. The reporting is excellent and and one of the best features and the ability to use Q-tools to pull data into Excel files is intuitive and very handy

Modifying the "canned" financial reports is clunky, not very intuitive and there's insufficient help documentation.

Entering bills is super easy, the Job Costing is fantastic and really helps with the accuracy of my monthly reports.

Sometimes making chages is difficult and cumbersome. I feel like you always have to walk your way back out of it, but in the end it makes sense!

It gives much better information than What I was used to. I am working for a company currently that is not using it and I miss it so much!

I like that everything automatically updates the GL as well as the job costs

I would help if you could edit a journal entry instead of having to create a new one

I am able to see transactions as soon as they are created - even before posting. This helps to search for a mistake. Also I like the Practice version, you can see results before they finalize.
