"Highly Accurate Translations That Preserve Context"
5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

The translations are really accurate and it keeps the context of the original text Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

I used the web version, and sometimes I had to reload the page if I hadn't used it in a long time during the day Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deepl is great but has crucial mistakes in Dutch (NL)"
3.5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

I use Deepl many times a day for translation work. Deepl translates while you type and that works very well compared to other translators. It also works great with suggestions when clicking on a word (suggestions/ variations) I would not be able to do my job fast enough without it and has made me a nice amount of money with my 'side job'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

A] I complained about this about 2 years ago - Deepl still makes mistakes with formal / informal in the Dutch language (NL) - It still sometimes translates 'you' or 'your' wrong. It will translate 'you' or 'your' in informal to 'u' / 'uw' instead of 'je' / 'jou' (etc). You need to speak Dutch in order to understand what I mean. B] I don't like the new version because 1] The formal/informal switch has moved to 'editing tools'. 2] I can't edit glossaries like the old look on the same translation page. 3] The undo button (command z) does not work anymore, so it does not go back to previous edits/ translations. 4] when clicking on a word it does not react as fast as the previous version (or does not react at all) C] Deepl is sometimes very slow! D} Glossary still does not work properly. It will take too long to explain! This slows down my work and I'm seriously considering using the free version after 3 years. "Poor service addressing a basic customer issue"
1.5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

It is fast, rather good, machine translation, which I **attempt** to use for business and personal work. I am native- or near-native-fluent in several languages and use it to generate texts in those languages. Then I edit those texts for my own style, or for differing regional vocabulary and structure. Spanish is different in Peru than Spain. French is different in Paris than Québec. USW ... as one would say in German.

Personally, it is also very useful for a number of languages I speak somewhat comfortably, but not yet fluently -- Hungarian, Swedish, and Italian being top-three of some eight. I use it as a language **instruction** tool, because I can focus on the language as used in my profession [Agronomy] to build on my solid ability to deal with daily-life when in-country. What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

For two years I have paid the USD105 upgrade, but the system continues to restrict me to 1500 words. It refuses to accept MS-Word documents, although that's what I PAY for.

Repeated attempts to address that problem with Customer Service have gone nowhere and corrected nothing.

Customer service, for me, has been somewhere between terrible and non-existent, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DeepL is a must have for me!"
5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

DeepL has long impressed me with its outstanding translation quality. The results are not only grammatically correct, but also sound natural in terms of style – almost as if they had been written by a native speaker. DeepL's superiority over other tools is particularly evident in more complex texts or technical language. It integrates seamlessly into various working environments. Whether as a web app or desktop version, it is flexible and supports an efficient workflow.

In short, DeepL is the most reliable and user-friendly translation tool on the market for me – a real must-have for anyone who regularly works with multilingual content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

I also like the user interface: it is clearly structured, intuitive to use, and pleasantly minimalistic. Of course, there are minor points that could be optimized, but overall the UI is a successful example of functional design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Customization and Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

I like the ease of use and the customization available through glossaries and now the integration with translation memories. I am able to quickly and reliably translate text from any domain. It now a firm part of my workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

The lack of integrating context into translation, for example, being able to indicate what type of document of scenario the text is being translated for. This occurs, for example, when translating UI keys for software and translation errors occur, because I am not able to provide context for what type of software. I hope this will be improved with the development of the Customization Hub. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless In-Page Translation with Customizable Chrome Widget"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

I appreciate how easy the Chrome widget is to use. It lets me translate any selected text on a webpage instantly, without needing to switch tabs. The widget automatically detects the language of the selected text and supports more than 30 languages. In the settings, I can choose my target languages, customize shortcut keys, and enable or disable pop-ups or floating icons as needed. The ease of use is perfect for a high-paced working environment. I use it every day for short words or phrase translations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

The pop-ups and floating icon features can sometimes be confusing/frustrating, especially when translation isn't needed. Additionally, certain functions such as full-page translation or more advanced style options are only available with a DeepL Pro subscription. There are also occasional delays, instances where text doesn't translate immediately, or minor bugs that appear in specific situations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient API with Quick Integration, Limited Language Options"
5/5
What do you like best about DeepL Translate?

I love DeepL for its simple and robust API, which provides fast response times, making it ideal for integrating into my SaaS businesses. I also appreciate its impressive uptime, which showcases the quality of the software, allowing me to manage translations seamlessly without worrying about downtime disruptions. Setting up DeepL was very easy, which added convenience to integrating it into my operations. Additionally, I've successfully incorporated the API to build a translation management suite on top of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeepL Translate?

Limited language support: For some translation pairs, I have to use Google Translate API instead of DeepL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
